I grew up watching The Looney Tunes and reading these three short comics made me feel like I was reliving my childhood. Even though I am not a fan of these reality T.V. dating shows, the "Single Mingle" comic was my favorite. I found it very comical and the ending is definitely something you would see if this comic was in animated form on T.V.  I did enjoy the second comic as well though. Tweety Bird has always been one of my favorite characters, so I was glad to see a comic with Tweety in it. The third mini comic was also comical too, but I did enjoy the first two better. That's mainly though because I'm not as big of a fan of Tazz, Porky Pig, and Sam as I am Tweety, Bugs, and Granny.

 I think anyone that enjoys, or grew up watching, The Looney Tunes would enjoy these comics as much as I did. I would definitely recommend it, even if you haven't watched or read anything involving The Looney Tunes (If you haven't, what rock have you've been hiding under all these years?). I also would recommend this if you're looking for a comic that you can just pick up and not have to worry about starting with the first issue. This isn't based off of a previous comic and as long as you have heard of The Looney Tunes, I think you would be able to know which character is which and their personality.

And before I end this review, I do have one question for you....Who is your favorite LooneyTunes character?

The Verdict: I would definitely recommend this comic to anyone looking for something different or to take them back in time to their childhood. These are funny, but cute, comics. It's definitely not something for you if you're looking for Batman to beat up some thugs on the street. It is something though if you're looking for just a feel good quick read.

"Burning Down The House: Part Three," by Rob Williams and artist John Romita Jr., starts of comically with Croc's line about eating Harley and Deadshot in order to stop them. I feel like Croc is an underrated character and lines like that make him stand out (which I love). This comic doesn't have team work or a lot of action, so if you are looking for the whole team to work together to take down a foe, I would skip this comic. This comic does center around Deadshot and the mini comic at the end centers more on Harley Quinn. If you're more of a fan of Boomerang, Croc, or the other Suicide Squad members, they are in this comic. However, they are not the main focus.

The next issue is going to be an interesting one, at least I think it will be. The team is kind of broken up at the moment, so I'm assuming the next issue is going to have something that is going to bring them all together again. Deadshot went off on his own and I have a feeling that won't be for the long run (even if he is Deadshot).

The Verdict: If you're a fan of Suicide Squad comics, I think you'll enjoy this one. If you're only a fan of a select few members of the squad, you might not enjoy it. There's not as much action as some other comics have, but I think the next issue is going to give us more action. I would recommend this comic, especially to someone that is looking for more of a story line than just all action.

"Nightwing Must Die: Part One," by Tim Seeley and artist Javier Fernandez, is a comic that I have enjoyed more than the rest these past few weeks. Being that I am a fan of Nightwing, it does make me a bit biased, but I think others will agree with me that it is a great comic. Even though I get a bad vibe from Shawn, it is always nice to see the hero with someone that makes him or her happy. One of my favorite parts is Robin looking at his Twitter feed about Nightwing and himself. I wasn't expecting Robin to be a main part of this comic, but it was a good surprise. He didn't come off as that kid that Dick thinks he is. When he comes to find Dick, he wants to help and thinks that he can help.

One thing that makes me really like a comic is a cliffhanger. The ending that this comic has is going to lead to another great comic. There are a lot of unanswered questions that come from this comic, which I hope to get answered in the next one (when it comes to a new comic I'm not the most patient person). I'm sure that even if the next comic gives us the answers to these questions, there will be more questions that need answers in the next one.

The Verdict: I did enjoy this comic and would recommend it to anyone that likes Nightwing and or is looking for a new comic to read. There are questions that need to be answered and I am looking forward to finding out those answers (even if those answers might lead to a death of a character).

I was already curious about “Red Hood and The Outlaws: How do you Solve a Problem Like Bizarro,” by Scott Lobdell and artist Mirko Colak, from the cover. The line, “An Ex-Robin and a faulty Superman clone. Tell me that doesn't sound like the greatest non-team ever,” was pretty much what I was thinking. It had me intrigued to see how these two were going to interact. I do feel bad for Bizarro, especially at the end of this comic. He's not a bad guy, he just doesn't know when enough is enough and the difference between right and wrong. He's kind of like a child who doesn't know any better.

I was glad to see that Jason didn't kill him with the kryptonite bullet. If he were to, I have a feeling that the death would have been on his conscious. I am hoping to see more of this “team.” I think the two can work well together, once Bizarro learns how to control himself (if he ever learns how to do that). I think Jason will help him with that, considering he does want him to be on his “team” and doesn't want to hurt him.

The Verdict: I enjoyed this comic and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next for these two. I wondering if Jason is going to take Bizarro in, like Bruce took Jason in. Bizarro is hard to control, but I think if anyone can do it it would be Red Hood.

“Batwoman Begins: Finale,” by James Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett, and artist Ben Oliver, is a very action packed comic. Between the flashback of Batwoman meeting Batman and then the present day, there is a lot of action for the reader to enjoy. You also get that little bit of a back story about Batwoman and Batman, due to the flashback in the start of the comic. At the end, you have a bit of closure about Kate and what her future is going to be. With 'finale' in the title, my mind went to the worst. I'm glad that this didn't go in the direction of Batwoman getting hurt or killed.

I am curious to see what is next for Batwoman and how much her father is going to be involved. I do not think that she's going to break him out of jail or anything like that, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the last time we see her father in the next series. I would recommend this comic, for anyone that loves Batgirl or Batwoman. If you like Batman, I would also recommend it too, but this comic focuses more on Batwoman than Batman.

The Verdict: I did like this comic because there was action in it, but it wasn't the full comic. It also gave a nice introduction to Batwoman for her next series. Her story is definitely not over and this won't be the last time we see Batwoman.

“Another Day On Earth,” by Mark Russell and artsit Rick Leonardi, has a few comical lines. The first one that had me amused was when an alien comes to talk to Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty. Fred greets him like this is a normal thing and he is used to aliens just showing up while he's barbecuing. Nothing about this alarms him, or the others for that matter. If it were me, I wouldn't be trying to have a conversation with this said alien. Another line that had me amused was after Betty and Wilma go to try to sell Wilma's artwork. Betty says, “Let's go get some ham.” Now I know this is set in a different time, but I found it amusing that ham is their comfort food. In present time, us girls would be going out to get some wine or some cheesecake for comfort. Not ham.

I think anyone that enjoys the Flintstones, as both a child and or an adult, will enjoy this comic. How the comic ends though, well it should be interesting how the next one is going to start. It also shows that even though Fred shows up late to work, he's the coworker that you want to have by your side in case something happens (like it does at the end of this comic). I am sure the next comic will be just as enjoyable as this one was (along with a few more amusing lines of dialogue).

The Verdict: I enjoyed this comic and I would recommend it to anyone that likes or has liked the Flintstones in the past. I think anyone that has been a fan of the Flintstones will enjoy this and will be looking forward to the next issue.

“Metropolis Underground: The Final Fate of Earth Two: Part Three,” by Dan Abnett and artist Bruno Redondo has many characters in this comic. I think that there is a character in this comic for everyone. There's a bit of action, for those that are looking for a comic with that. However, it's not all filled with action and there is a story line to it. If you are a fan of Earth Two and are not looking for something that “follows the rules” of the comics we know and love, then this is the comic for you to read. If you are looking for something that is in the universe that you are used to when reading comics about Batman, Superman, etc, than this is not the comic for you.

I, myself, am not a big fan of alternative universes. However, I did enjoy this comic. If you are looking for something different to read, but not something that is drastically different, I would try this one. Even if you are not looking for something that is different, just looking for something new to read, I would recommend this comic.

The Verdict: If you are looking for something that is Earth Two, I would recommend this comic. Even though I am not a big alternative universe fan, I did enjoy this comic. I think this issue has a bit for everyone to enjoy.

“Going Sane: Part Four: I Believe in Miracles,” by Rob Williams and artist Scott Williams, still proves to me why Harley Quinn is one of my favorite characters. The line, “Sorry, I electrocuted you,” had me amused. I was kind of expecting to see Superman in this issue, considering they are fighting against Zod and Zod is Superman's enemy. With Zod there, I am wondering if Superman is going to make an appearance in the next issue to help the Suicide Squad. Even though the Suicide Squad was made for missions that were dangerous, I am sure that if they need help, Amanda Waller would be calling the hero that knows Zod best.

I am curious to see what the next issue is going to bring. I hope that there's going to be even more Harley-isms and that these issues will continue to bring the action scenes. I also still like that they have a little mini comic at the end of the issue, just for the one character. It gives you a little bit more information about the character, if you have never heard of them before, and it is a nice way to conclude the issue.

The Verdict: I enjoyed this comic and I hope the next issue is going to be just as good. I am also curious to see if Superman is going to be making an appearance in any of the future issues (I hope so).

“Men of Steel: Part Three,” by Dan Jurgens and artist Patrick Zircher, is not a comic if you're just looking for a Superman comic. Most of the comic doesn't deal with Superman, it gives you a little bit of a back story to the characters that have Lex and want to kill him to save the future. Superman shows up at the end of the comic, going to save Lex Luthor. Even though this is a different Lex Luthor that we know, Superman would still save Lex Luthor because that's what Superman does. He doesn't believe in killing people, no matter how evil they may be (which is one of the reasons Superman is one of my favorite superheroes).

If you're looking for strictly a comic all about Superman, I would skip this one and wait for the next one. I do not think that you would be really confused if you were to skip this issue. However, if you are interested in the back story, then I suggest that you do not skip this issue. I am hoping that the next issue is going to be action packed and that we see more of what exactly is going to happen if Lex Luthor is saved....or not saved.

The Verdict: Even though Superman is in this comic, he's not in it very much. So, if you're looking for a Superman comic, this is one for you to skip. There's not a lot of action in this comic, but I have a feeling that the next issue is going to action packed and I'm looking forward to seeing what it will bring.

“Damian Knows Best: Part Two,” by Benjamin Percy and artist Diogenes Neves, started off with my full attention Talia is one of my favorite Batman characters and I always enjoy seeing her in comics, movies, television shows, etc. She's one of those characters I feel has a lot of potential, but she isn't used very much. She was just here for the flashback, but I have a feeling in issues to come she will reappear in either flashbacks of future issues or in the present. I also have a feeling that Talia's father is going to show up as well, which is going to be interesting to see.

This issue has a lot of action and I don't think that is going to decrease any time soon, not until they defeat The Demon's Fist. I'm curious to see how they're going to defeat them, but I do know that they have to be a team in order to defeat them. I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come in the next issue and to see who else might appear in Damian's flashbacks. I'm hoping to see more Talia and I'm curious to see when Batman is going to appear (if he's going to appear).

The verdict: I enjoyed this issue and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next issues are going to bring, both with the plot and the characters that may or may not show up. I have a feeling that the next issue is going to be just as action packed as this one.

“The Lies: Conclusion,” by Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp, is a very sad comic for Diana. She's with Steven at her “home”, with her mother. She's happy that she's with her mother and that she's not really dead, like she had believed. However, what makes this sad, is that she finds out that she was never home and that this was all a lie. She seemed very happy to be home, to be with her mother and her family again. Now, that's all gone and will most likely be gone forever. She's lucky to have Steven there with her, to help her see that something was wrong and that it didn't seem right. If she stayed in that place any longer, who knows what it would have done with her mind and her body.

I am curious to see what the next issue is going to bring, if Diana is going to find out how she was trapped in that lie. I hope she's not trapped in another fake reality before she finds out that answer. One thing is for sure though, Wonder Woman is a very strong character and she won't let this bring her down until she finds the answers that she's looking for.

The Verdict: Even though this is a sad comic, unless you don't like Wonder Woman (which I'm not sure why you would be reading this comic if that were the case), it is a comic that I would recommend. I have a feeling the net issue is going to give Diana some answers and I have a feeling when she gets those answers there's going to be some action.

“Men of Steel: Part Two,” by Dan Jurgens and artist Tyler Kirkham, is very action packed. My favorite line in this comic is said by Jon, “But I just drove that truck into ugly over there...” Even though this is a different kind of world, it's still weird to see Superman not saying that Lex Luthor is a bad guy. What else is disturbing to see is Clark saying that Lex should die. Even though Lex is Clark's enemy (in normal Superman comics), he never wishes death upon Lex Luthor. I'm all for trying something new with comics and going to alternative universes, however this really isn't my cup of tea.

I'm sure in the next issue, Superman is going to find away to find Lex and save him from who took him. I also have a feeling that what was predicted about Lex is going to happen. Even though this is an alternative universe, I'm pretty sure Lex is still going to be evil in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to come for Lex, Superman, Lois, Jon, and Clark.

The Verdict: This issue is very action packed and I'm curious to see where the next issues is going to go. I hope that it's going to give Superman some answers about the future. As much as Lex is know to be a bad guy, I do hope that they don't end up killing him.

I enjoyed “My Own Worst Enemy: Part Four”, by Scott Snyder and artist John Romita Jr.. I like when comics bring in Harvey Dent. I feel like he's a bit underrated at times. The Joker is Batman's main villain, so Dent is sometimes in the sidelines. When he blinded Bruce, it had me on the edge of my seat to see if Two Face was going to be able to succeed in turning Bruce into....well him basically. This is a very action packed issue and besides Two Face, Penguin is also in this issue. I enjoy the comics that bring in more than just one villain, so I enjoyed seeing the both of them in this comic.

Batman was definitely having a rough day in this comic, but that comes with the price of being Gotham's greatest hero. I would recommend this comic to anyone that is looking for a comic with a good amount of action, but also not just action. There are parts where it's not just Batman fighting the bad guys. As much as I like the comics that are action packed, I do enjoy the ones that tell the reader a bit more about characters featured in the comic as well. It makes it interesting and you sometimes gain a new respect for the character.

The Verdict: I would highly recommend this comic to anyone that is looking for a good action Batman comic. I would also recommend this to anyone that is looking for a comic that doesn't have The Joker as the main antagonist.

If you were expecting Clark Kent when someone said to you that you should read New Superman, then you're going to be disappointed when you read, “Made in China: Part Five”, by Gene Luen Yang and artist Viktor Bogdanovic. The mentions of Batman and Wonder Woman in this comic aren't the ones that we know and love. They are different characters. However, Super-Man and his father still have the same ideas as Superman. They want to save their city, they want to save their country. They're both fighting for truth and justice, even though Super-man and Superman do have their differences.

It's going to be interesting to see, how Super-man and his father, are going to save China. It's also going to be interesting to see how Super-man is going to grow into a hero (like his father and his mother). I enjoyed learning the story about how his father and mother met, how she became the first superhero of China. It was sad to learn though that she was murdered, due to those superpowers. She wanted to bring justice to China and protect it, but someone didn't want her to.

The Verdict: This is an interesting comic. If you're looking for the red, blue, and yellow Superman from Metropolis, this is not the comic for you. If you're looking for something that is a bit different, I think you will enjoy this comic. I have a feeling the next comic is going to be interesting as well, considering Super-man and his father are going to save China.

“Who Killed Superwoman: Part 4: Together Again (for the Very First Time!)”, by Phil Jimenez and artist Emanuela Lupacchino, starts with Lana Lang being haunted by her Lois Lane (the one that has died due to her powers, not the Lois that has come from another universe to fill her place). Lana thinks she's going insane, which I can't say I blame her. If a ghost showed up to me and wouldn't leave me alone I would think I was going crazy as well. The reader learns that Lana is afraid of dying. She knows that her time is soon, due to the powers that she has, but she's not ready to go yet. Again, I can't say I blame her.

This issue also brings Lex back into the discussion. In this universe, Lex is Superman, but not everyone thinks that Lex is their “hero”. Superwoman is the one that the people of Metropolis consider their hero. They, of course, don't know that the powers that Superwoman has is killing her and they might be living in a world where Superwoman no longer exists sooner rather than later.

The Verdict: This comic gives a little bit more into the life of Lana Lang and her relationship with Lois Lane (her universe Lois Lane). It also gives more insight to what she's feeling, what she's going through, and what she thinks about the new Lois coming in from another universe. The next issue looks like it's going to be filled with action and I have a feeling that Lana is going to start to get a bit weaker, due to her powers killing her. She might end up like Lois, die while fighting. With that in mind, I'm curious to see what the next issue will bring.

“I am Suicide: Part Two,” by Tom King and artist Mikel Janin, is a quick read and is narrated by Catwoman (even though she doesn't show up until the end of this comic). The reader learns a bit about Catwoman's life, when she was an orphan, and her relationship with Bruce Wayne. Bane is no longer....well Bane. He doesn't have the venom flowing through his veins, which makes him a little bit more on Bruce's level. However, Bane still ends up with the upper hand. It's going to be interesting to see how Batman is going to defeat Bane, considering Bane isn't truly the Bane that he has been up against in the past. Without the venom, he's weaker, but he's also going to be using different tactics now that he can't rely on the venom and “breaking Bruce's back.”

 

He's still plenty strong, but he now has more of a weakness. It's going to be interesting to see who has the upper hand in the next issue, especially if Catwoman is going to be helping Bruce out. Even though if you were asked who would win in a fight, Catwoman or Bane, you would probably pick Bane, Catwoman has plenty tricks up her sleeves and can be a valuable asset.

The Verdict: I enjoyed this comic, especially learning a bit of what Catwoman has felt in her past and her present. I'm also looking forward to the next comic, seeing another fight between Batman and Bane.

“Lois Lane: Back at the Planet: Part Two,” by Dan Jurgens and artist Stephen Segovia, starts out with Clark and Jon. I always enjoy seeing Clark with his son and being a dad, especially when he's telling him how great Lois is. It makes them seem, well normal. Jon is concerned about his mom going back to work and things being different, which is something a normal child would worry about. Just because Jon and Clark have super powers (and that Clark is an alien from Krypton) doesn't mean that they don't have “normal people problems.”

It's going to be interesting to see Lois live other Lois's life. Even though their lives are one in the same, they are different. I am curious to see too if anyone is going to figure out that Lois isn't....well Lois. I'm sure, eventually, someone will and I have a feeling it's going to be Clark. I'm also curious to see if their lives are ever going to be back to normal, if Superman is going to return or if Lois is going to come back for the dead. I have a feeling that it won't, but I have read enough comics to know that anything is possible in the comic universe.

The Verdict: This is a great comic that lets the reader know what happened in the past and what is happening in the future for these characters. I look forward to seeing what is next for Lois, Clark, and Jon. Things are not going to be easy for them, but they've gone through things that are more complicated than this.

“Return of Wally West Now You See Her: Part Four,” by Dan Abnett and artist Brett Booth, starts off with my complete interest. Even though it's clique, taking the women that the hero loves, it's still makes a great concept. The way that comics are these days too, you really never know if the hero's girl is going to survive or not. It doesn't matter anymore if the character is a main character or not. No one is safe when it comes to being killed off anymore.

This comic also makes me hope that one day, we'll see Kadabra on The Flash. I feel like he would be a great character to see come to life. I've always been a fan of Dick Grayson, so seeing him as a leader and making sure everyone on his team is calm and in a mind set to get Linda back is great to see. Bruce would be proud to see him like this. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next comic brings, if Wally can save Linda or if he will be too late. Kadabra is definitely not making it easy on him, not that anyone would think that he would go easy on Wally.

The Verdict: This is a great comic that has a little bit of everything. It has action, team work, and a great villain that likes to play mind games. I am looking forward to the next issue and seeing what is going to happen to all the characters in this comic, especially Linda (considering the circumstances she's in at the moment).

“Beyond Burnside: Part Four,” by Hope Larson and artist Rafael Albuquerque, is not what I was expecting. I have not read the first three comics in this series, so I'm used to Batgirl being in Gotham and working with Bruce (sometimes Nightwing). The storyline is different than the Batgirl comics I am used to reading, not just because of the absence of Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne. I felt like it wasn't as dark as some of these comics are and I felt it was more towards young teen girl readers. This, of course, is just my opinion.

It does have multiple pages where Batgirl is involved in some action. However, I was expecting a bit more than what there was. Even though this comic wasn't for me, it wasn't a bad comic. Albuquerque sketches are great and it really does bring Batgirl to life. I hope, in the next issue, we see Batgirl back fighting in Gotham and or teaming up with Batman or Nightwing. I feel like the additions will make this storyline more appealing, at least for me. As much as I love strong female characters, which Batgirl definitely is, I do enjoy seeing the team work as well.

The Verdict: This comic wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean that it's not a good comic. It's just a bit different than Batgirl comics I have read in the past. Batgirl is drawn well and the colors are definitely eye catching. I hope to see Batman or Nightwing in the next issue.

“Damian Knows Best: Part One,” by Benjamin Percy, Jonboy Meyers, and artist Jim Charalampidis, is an interesting read. It gives the reader a bit of Damian's back story and why he has captured Beastboy, Kid Flash, Raven, and Starfire. Damian wants to bring the Teen Titans back together, now that they have gone their separate ways since Tim Drake “died”. He kidnaps them and holds them hostage to show that they work better together and not alone, which in a way is a good way to show them when they wouldn't listen to just words. However, it's not the best way to convince someone to join your team.

It seems like we'll see the Teen Titans reunited (minus Tim Drake) to help save the world, which is always great to see. It should be good for all the members, to get back into being a team again. Just because Tim is gone, doesn't mean that the team has to be gone. If Tim were really gone, he would want them to continue saving the world and being the Teen Titans. I have a feeling there are going to be some problems with Damian, but I think they will get through those problems and focus on saving the world.

The Verdict: I'm glad to see that the Teen Titans, minus Tim Drake, are back together again. Not only is it good for the readers to see, it's good for the characters. Of course, these characters aren't Teen Titans forever, but in the meantime, they need each other and it's good to see that they see that.
