“Men of Steel: Conclusion,” by Dan Jurges and artist Stephen Segovia, just shows if you weren't aware that this was an alternative universe now, you know now. Between Superman and Lex Luthor working together and Lois having to lie to “Clark” about “his” son. I will admit, after the conversation between Lois, Jon, and “Clark,” I did skim ahead to see if there was more of that dialogue. Lois is my favorite character from the Superman franchise, so I couldn't help myself. I did go back to read the rest, after I saw that there wasn't a conversation with that “Clark.”

I am excited to see what the next issue is going to be, considering that this isn't the end of the alternative universes (but that's to be expected with any DC or Marvel comic). This comic does have a bit of something for everyone, I think. There's some action, some humorous dialogue, and more. I am curious to see how the next issue is going to start and end.

The Verdict: I did enjoy this comic and I would recommend it if anyone asked me if they should read it or not. I am excited to see if the next issue is going to be just as good and what is going to happen next. I'm curious to see if any other characters are going to show up.

“Men of Steel: Part Two,” by Dan Jurgens and artist Tyler Kirkham, is very action packed. My favorite line in this comic is said by Jon, “But I just drove that truck into ugly over there...” Even though this is a different kind of world, it's still weird to see Superman not saying that Lex Luthor is a bad guy. What else is disturbing to see is Clark saying that Lex should die. Even though Lex is Clark's enemy (in normal Superman comics), he never wishes death upon Lex Luthor. I'm all for trying something new with comics and going to alternative universes, however this really isn't my cup of tea.

I'm sure in the next issue, Superman is going to find away to find Lex and save him from who took him. I also have a feeling that what was predicted about Lex is going to happen. Even though this is an alternative universe, I'm pretty sure Lex is still going to be evil in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to come for Lex, Superman, Lois, Jon, and Clark.

The Verdict: This issue is very action packed and I'm curious to see where the next issues is going to go. I hope that it's going to give Superman some answers about the future. As much as Lex is know to be a bad guy, I do hope that they don't end up killing him.

“Lois Lane: Back at the Planet: Part Two,” by Dan Jurgens and artist Stephen Segovia, starts out with Clark and Jon. I always enjoy seeing Clark with his son and being a dad, especially when he's telling him how great Lois is. It makes them seem, well normal. Jon is concerned about his mom going back to work and things being different, which is something a normal child would worry about. Just because Jon and Clark have super powers (and that Clark is an alien from Krypton) doesn't mean that they don't have “normal people problems.”

It's going to be interesting to see Lois live other Lois's life. Even though their lives are one in the same, they are different. I am curious to see too if anyone is going to figure out that Lois isn't....well Lois. I'm sure, eventually, someone will and I have a feeling it's going to be Clark. I'm also curious to see if their lives are ever going to be back to normal, if Superman is going to return or if Lois is going to come back for the dead. I have a feeling that it won't, but I have read enough comics to know that anything is possible in the comic universe.

The Verdict: This is a great comic that lets the reader know what happened in the past and what is happening in the future for these characters. I look forward to seeing what is next for Lois, Clark, and Jon. Things are not going to be easy for them, but they've gone through things that are more complicated than this.

“Son of Superman: Part Six,” by Peter J. Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason, starts off with a lot of action. Superman is on the moon, fighting Eradicator, in honor of his son. The Eradicator thinks that Jon will destroy the Kryptonian name and that Jon is a mistake. Obviously, Clark disagrees with this opinion of his son and is going to fight for him and his family. One part that was a bit out of place for me was when Superman released Krypto from the Eradicator.There was no mention of Krypto prior in this issue, so it seemed like it was just thrown in there.  However, I always like to see an appearance from Krypto.

Once the Eradicator is defeated, Krypto, Superman, Lois, and Jon head back home to Earth. Lois, once again, proves that she's a great mom by telling her son that he isn't going to be like his father, but he's going to be his own person and he'll be amazing. I also enjoyed the father and son moment, towards the end of the comic, where Clark gives Jon his own pair of glasses. Jon really isn't impressed with them, but what kid that has Superman for a dad is going to be impressed by a pair of glasses? Jon does look adorable in them, though.

The Verdict: This issue starts off with a lot of action, but ends on a sweet, family-oriented note. This comic definitely shows how much family means to Clark, which if you have read other Superman comics, you already know. It's going to be interesting to see how Jon is going to work with the Justice League and to see how and if all the members welcome him.
