"Nightwing Must Die: Part One," by Tim Seeley and artist Javier Fernandez, is a comic that I have enjoyed more than the rest these past few weeks. Being that I am a fan of Nightwing, it does make me a bit biased, but I think others will agree with me that it is a great comic. Even though I get a bad vibe from Shawn, it is always nice to see the hero with someone that makes him or her happy. One of my favorite parts is Robin looking at his Twitter feed about Nightwing and himself. I wasn't expecting Robin to be a main part of this comic, but it was a good surprise. He didn't come off as that kid that Dick thinks he is. When he comes to find Dick, he wants to help and thinks that he can help.

One thing that makes me really like a comic is a cliffhanger. The ending that this comic has is going to lead to another great comic. There are a lot of unanswered questions that come from this comic, which I hope to get answered in the next one (when it comes to a new comic I'm not the most patient person). I'm sure that even if the next comic gives us the answers to these questions, there will be more questions that need answers in the next one.

The Verdict: I did enjoy this comic and would recommend it to anyone that likes Nightwing and or is looking for a new comic to read. There are questions that need to be answered and I am looking forward to finding out those answers (even if those answers might lead to a death of a character).

“Damian Knows Best: Part Two,” by Benjamin Percy and artist Diogenes Neves, started off with my full attention Talia is one of my favorite Batman characters and I always enjoy seeing her in comics, movies, television shows, etc. She's one of those characters I feel has a lot of potential, but she isn't used very much. She was just here for the flashback, but I have a feeling in issues to come she will reappear in either flashbacks of future issues or in the present. I also have a feeling that Talia's father is going to show up as well, which is going to be interesting to see.

This issue has a lot of action and I don't think that is going to decrease any time soon, not until they defeat The Demon's Fist. I'm curious to see how they're going to defeat them, but I do know that they have to be a team in order to defeat them. I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come in the next issue and to see who else might appear in Damian's flashbacks. I'm hoping to see more Talia and I'm curious to see when Batman is going to appear (if he's going to appear).

The verdict: I enjoyed this issue and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next issues are going to bring, both with the plot and the characters that may or may not show up. I have a feeling that the next issue is going to be just as action packed as this one.

“Damian Knows Best: Part One,” by Benjamin Percy, Jonboy Meyers, and artist Jim Charalampidis, is an interesting read. It gives the reader a bit of Damian's back story and why he has captured Beastboy, Kid Flash, Raven, and Starfire. Damian wants to bring the Teen Titans back together, now that they have gone their separate ways since Tim Drake “died”. He kidnaps them and holds them hostage to show that they work better together and not alone, which in a way is a good way to show them when they wouldn't listen to just words. However, it's not the best way to convince someone to join your team.

It seems like we'll see the Teen Titans reunited (minus Tim Drake) to help save the world, which is always great to see. It should be good for all the members, to get back into being a team again. Just because Tim is gone, doesn't mean that the team has to be gone. If Tim were really gone, he would want them to continue saving the world and being the Teen Titans. I have a feeling there are going to be some problems with Damian, but I think they will get through those problems and focus on saving the world.

The Verdict: I'm glad to see that the Teen Titans, minus Tim Drake, are back together again. Not only is it good for the readers to see, it's good for the characters. Of course, these characters aren't Teen Titans forever, but in the meantime, they need each other and it's good to see that they see that.

“Teen Titans Rebirth,” by Ben Percy and Jonboy Meyers introduces us to the Teen Titans. We start of with Beast Boy. I don't blame that woman for getting out of that pool because turning into a shark is not something you do if you want to impress a girl. We are then reintroduce us to Starfire, Raven, and Kid Flash. They are all in different areas of the world, considering this comic is still after Tim Drake's death and the team has split up due to this. They seem to be in somewhat better spirits than they were when we saw them at Tim's funeral.

The ending to this comic is shocking, since we see Robin. The ending, of course, makes me wish that the next comic was up already. I'm curious to see how the next issue is going to start and I am also curious to see who this Robin in. We know that Tim is alive, so this could be Tim. However, it could be someone else. Everyone that has read some form of Batman comic before knows that there are a handful of people that have placed on that Robin suit.

The Verdict: This is a great comic for anyone that has never read a Teen Titans comic. It introduces you to the characters, but doesn't introduce them where one character takes over the whole comic. It gives you a little bit of each character and in the end it brings all the characters together, since they're all kidnapped by the same person.

“The White Carnival: The Hunt,” by Mary Wolfman and artist Alisson Borges, takes place after Tim Drake's “death.”  Raven is with her newly found aunt and her family. Things are definitely different for Raven, since this family believes in God. Raven has a lot to adjust to. Not only has she just left the Titans and is dealing with the loss of her friend, she has a new family and is learning to be “normal.” She's not used to a family that care and that are there for her. She's also not used to going to school. Raven stands out from the crowd, that's for sure.

She's not used to talking to others… well, at least others that aren't in the Titans, so it's hard for her to interact with her classmates. However, she does seem to make some friends in school, but she doesn't really care about them, not when a girl with powers like her own is around. Raven is definitely going to be in for an adventure in San Francisco, one that isn't quite normal for a teen. I am curious to see if this will bring The Titans back together or if Raven will handle this on her own.

The Verdict:  This comic is a nice introduction to Raven's new life and the challenges she's going to face overtime. Anyone that is a fan of Raven should be reading this comic. The ending has me curious as to how Raven is going to be able to fit in and how she's going to get through the challenges with which she's going to be faced.

“Red Robin Remembrance,” by Tony Bedard and artist Ian Churchill, is one of those comics that are needed after Detective Comics #940.  We know, after reading Detective Comics #940, that Tim isn’t dead. However, his friends believe that he is. They all take a trip down memory lane, sharing their best memories of moments that they had with Tim, all great in their own right. My favorite memory was Miguel’s, though. It depicted the fun side of both Miguel and Tim, showing a side of these heroes that you might not think they have. You don’t picture Tim not knowing what to wear to a reunion. After all, his mentor was Bruce Wayne and he’s one of the best dressed men in Gotham!

These flashback comics are always nice to read, especially after a comic with a cliffhanger or a death. Even though the readers are curious as to where Tim is and who has him captive, this was needed. You need one comic that expresses the loss of Tim and what his friends (not just Bruce and Steph) are going through. I do hope, when it’s revealed that Tim is still alive, that The Titans come back together. Needing time is understandable, but when a team breaks up, it is never a happy moment.

The Verdict: This is a nice and needed follow up after Detective Comics #940, even if I am curious to know where Tim is. If you enjoyed Detective Comics #940, this is one that you have to read as well. Even though it’s a somber comic, it is a good read.

“Return of Wally West: Smoke and Mirrors,” by Dan Abnett and artist Brett Booth, is definitely one of my favorite comics I have read this month. The story, the characters, the colors… everything is great! I'm going to do my best not to reveal too many spoilers because I want you all to read this comic. The Titans are forced to fight younger versions of themselves: Nightwing has Robin, Flash has Wally, etc. One of my favorite parts is when the two Flashes meet. The line that Flash says, about not being sure who he has been the past few days (this is said in a joking matter), is something that The Flash would say.

The issue is very action packed and there's definitely more to come in the next issue, which I would like to have right now to see how The Titans take down their past selves, created by Kadabra. What I would also like to talk about is the cover of this issue. Before reading this, I had no idea why this cover was the cover. It was creepy and something that I haven't seen before on a Titans's comic. After reading, the cover makes sense: it's still creepy, but it makes sense. Please do not judge the cover of this comic and read it! It's definitely worth the read, at least I think so.

The Verdict: I need the next issue ASAP! Everything from the colors to the story line is excellent. If you're a fan of The Titans, you need to read this comic. If you're not a fan of The Titans, you need to read this comic. Bottom line: everyone needs to read this comic!
