“Night of the Monster Men: Part Three,” by  Steve Orlando, James Tynion, and artist Andy Macdonald, is a bit gory. There are a lot of pages where Gotham Girl, or someone else, tears one of the monsters apart. It seems though that each time the blood of these monsters land on someone, that person becomes one of them (which of course is never a good thing). I'm curious to see how this is going to turn, considering that now Nightwing and Gotham Girl are one of these monsters (thanks to Gotham Girl going a little crazy and destroying one of the monsters). I'm excited, yet a little nervous, to see what is going to happen in the next issue.

Hopefully, they won't have to get hurt (or worse) in the process of being turned back into their normal selves. I'm pretty sure, Bruce or someone else will find a cure to change them back without having to kill them (at least I hope so). Even though, sometimes when a comic has more than just a few characters it can be confusing, this comic doesn't run into that problem. It's formatted well, where you don't feel like the stories are just thrown onto the page.

The Verdict: This is not a comic for someone who might be a little squeamish. This comic is going to be setting something up big for the next issue, so you're going to want to read this one before the next one comes out. I am curious to see what that big something is.

“Rise of the Batman: Part Six,” by James Tynion and artist Eddy Barrows, starts off with the funeral of Bruce's parents. It's a very sad start, but Kate is very supportive and when she says, “When something really really bad happens, family will always be there,” it makes you see that, at least in this universe, Bruce had someone besides Alfred. Aside from seeing young Bruce, one of my favorite elements in this issue is Clayface. Batman tries to warn people in Gotham that a drone is going to attack, but they are not moving… that is, until Clayface comes in and scares them into leaving. Granted, if you were to see Clayface, your first instincts are going to be to run from him. It is easy to feel a little bad for him, though, considering his face in the next panel after he scares them.

This issue wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be, but it was still a good issue. Not all comics have to be action packed in order for them to be good. How this issue ends, though, it seems like the next one is going to be filled with action. Robin is going to take on the Bat-drones. I'm also hoping that we see more flashbacks of Kate and Bruce's childhood. Kate mentioned a story about how she skinned her knee and I would like to see that scene come to life.

The Verdict: This issue isn't as action packed as others, but it is still a good issue. I am looking forward to the next one for more action and the hope that we can see more of Bruce and Kate's past.
