Supergirl "Nevertheless, She Persisted"

Kara fights against Superman after discovering that he has been infected by silver kryptonite by Rhea. After narrowly defeating him, they make their way to the Fortress of Solitude where they recuperate and create a new plan. Reviewing the Daxam archives, Kara chooses to invoke the ancient act of Dakkam Ur, a battle to the death against Rhea for the sake of the Earth. Meanwhile, in attempt to patch her relationship with her daughter, Lillian offers Lena a device created by Lex which could be reengineered to infect the atmosphere with lead. The device could prove harmless to humans but force the Daxamites, including Mon-El, to leave Earth. Despite the risk to Mon-El, Kara accepts the device and gives it to the DEO for an emergency use. Fortunately, thanks to a telepathic connection to M’Gann, J’onn wakes up from Rhea’s device.

Kara and Rhea begin their fight, but the Daxamite Army begin an attack on National City despite the combat. Clark, J’onn, and Mon-El provide protection against the army until M’Gann arrives on Earth with her own White Martian army to even the others. Kara is initially weakened against Rhea’s kryptonite-infused blood but manages to overpower her in the end. Unfortunately, Rhea vows to continue fighting, setting her armies against the weakest of National City. Reluctantly, Kara activates Lena’s device, poisoning the Daxamites including Mon-El. To save his life, Kara places Mon-El on her pod, sending him off the planet for his own safety. Although Kara mourns the loss of Mon-El, J’onn and M’Gann reunite while Alex proposes to Maggie. In a flashback, on the day of Krypton’s destruction, a group of Kryptons load an infant onto a ship, feeding it blood and vowing that it shall conquer Earth.

• General Zod makes an appearance as a vision of Superman’s after being exposed to silver kryptonite.
• Clark references his experience on Warworld while training with Kara.
• The infant on the ship could likely refer to the character Reign, an alien created by rogue scientists on Krypton who later interacted with Supergirl in attempt to conquer Earth.

The Flash "Finish Line"

HR is revealed to have switched places with Iris, disguising himself to be killed by Savitar in her place. Without Iris’s death, the team figures that Savitar will eventually fade from existence having never needed to be created. Nevertheless, Savitar takes the Speedforce weapon and Cisco, revealing his plan to use it as a quantum splicer to make him ever-present in the past, present, and future regardless of his fading from existence. Despite the threat, Barry offers a chance at redemption for Savitar. Although he considers the offer, Savitar ultimately rejects the idea, believing that there is no place for a time remnant among the group, even if he could survive. He sets the Philosopher’s Stone off in an explosion, allowing him to escape. Meanwhile, Julian reveals that he and Caitlin’s mother have constructed a possible cure for Caitlin’s abilities if they can find her, and Harry arrives to encourage Tracy to continue to help the team stop Savitar.

As Savitar and Killer Frost set up the Speedforce weapon, Gypsy returns to Earth-1 to rescue Cisco. Together they, along with Barry and Wally, confront Savitar. Before Savitar can fulfill his plan, the weapon opens a hole in the Speedforce, allowing Jay Garrick to escape, and the team fights off Savitar. Caitlin soon turns on Savitar after the latter threatens Cisco, regaining some control. Barry ultimately subdues Savitar but refuses to kill him and prove the villain right. When Savitar attempts to strike back at Barry from behind, however, he is then shot and killed by Iris before he fades from existence. Afterwards, the team holds a funeral for HR. There, Harry reveals his plans to stay to fill the void on the group while Caitlin, though free from Killer Frost, chooses to leave the city to discover herself. Outside the city, a Speedforce storm rages without a speedster to stabilize it. As penance for his role in Flashpoint, Barry willingly leaves Central City to take his spot within the Speedforce.

Arrow "Lian Yu"

With a team of Malcolm Merlyn, Digger Harkness, Nyssa al Ghul, and Slade Wilson, Oliver begins a mission to rescue his friends that starts with Chase’s team destroying their plane off the island. They locate Curtis, Felicity, Thea, and William’s mother Samantha trapped in cages and fight off Talia and Artemis to reach them, soon discovering Harkness to have aligned with Chase. Reunited, they begin searching for the rest of the team and Oliver’s son. As they travel, Malcolm is killed setting off a landmine to protect Thea, and the group locate a monastery where they believe the others are being kept. Oliver finds Diggle, Lance, Dinah, and Rene but is soon knocked out by Slade who seemingly betrays him to Chase. However, it soon becomes a ruse to release the others as Dinah fights off Black Siren and Nyssa fights her sister Talia. Oliver confronts Chase who claims he will have to be killed before giving up William. Meanwhile, five years ago, Oliver fights off Kovar and his men on the island.

Felicity and Curtis attempt to restart an old plane but soon discover the island to be covered with hundreds of explosive set to go off if Chase is killed. The others manage to escape captivity as Oliver fights and chases after Chase to find his son. Meanwhile, five years ago, Oliver fights and kills Kovar, beginning his plan to signal for help to leave the island and return home. On the boat, he calls his mother Moira on his return. Back in the present, Oliver follows Chase onto a boat where Chase reveals to be holding William, threatening to kill him unless Oliver kills him. Instead, Oliver shoots him the leg to reach William, refusing to prove Chase right and risk his friends and family. Chase then shoots himself, triggering the explosives on the island and leaving everyone’s fates in the air.

Supergirl "Resist"

Rhea unleashes her army against National City, forcing the DEO to regroup in the alien bar without J’onn for guidance. Within the chaos, Lillian Luthor offers her assistance in order to rescue Lena and eliminate the alien threat. They initially refuse, but their decision is interrupted when President Marsdin challenges Rhea on Air Force One, accompanied by a returning Cat Grant. Supergirl rescues Cat and is surprised to discover the president to be an alien from the planet Durlan. She reveals a plan to use the DEO’s positron laser to shoot down the ship, despite Mon-El and Lena still being onboard. With some further advice from Cat, Kara chooses to go with the plan but only after using Lillian’s help to sneak on the ship and rescue the others. Meanwhile, Rhea reveals her own plan to make her conquer of National City more legitimate by forcing Mon-El to marry Lena.

With a distraction from Cat and Winn in the form of an inspirational speech, the city begins to fight back against their alien invaders, and Kara, Lillian, Alex, and Maggie sneak onto the ship with the help of their portal and Superman’s Phantom Zone projector. While Daxamite soldiers attempt to kill Cat, she and Winn are rescued by the Guardian, whom Cat instantly recognizes as James Olsen. The team takes back Mon-El and Lena and successfully leave. Although Lillian plans to leave the others behind, Kara reveals an additional exit for Mon-El to escape the ship, designed by Winn. However, Kara stays on the ship to attempt to peacefully settle with Rhea, but Rhea reveals that she had planned for their weapon and has her own force against them: Superman.

The Flash "Infantino Street"

With the threat or Iris’s death coming closer, Barry and Cisco try appealing to Lyla Michaels at ARGUS for their power core to power their weapon. However, she refuses based on Barry’s past actions regarding Flashpoint. Under desperation, the team plans to steal the core themselves but find the security fortified against Barry’s powers. With no other choice, Barry appeals to a past Leonard Snart from the Legends’ Waverider for a thief’s expertise in how to steal thee core. Working together with the help of HR’s face-technology, Barry and Snart sneak through the security but come face-to-face with the main security of the power core in King Shark. Meanwhile, Joe and Wally take Iris to Earth-2 to hide from Savitar, taking refuge with Harry as HR and Tracy continue their work on the weapon to stop Savitar. Unfortunately, Savitar continues his goal to kill Iris after discovering Barry’s plan to create the weapon to stop him. 

Using Snart’s cold gun, they successfully distract King Shark with enough time to steal the power core. However, security is immediately alerted, and the door seals off, trapping Snart inside for Barry to escape. Despite having the chance, Barry stays behind to help Snart escape King Shark’s grasp, an act that surprises Lyla and convinces her to trust Barry with the power core. Back at STAR Labs, Barry arrives back questioning where Iris was taken, leading HR to reveal her location on Earth-2. Sadly, this Barry is revealed to be Savitar who travels to Earth-2 to fight off Wally and Harry to take Iris. The real Barry returns to STAR Labs, and he and Cisco travel to the city to face off against Savitar and Killer Frost. Although they attempt to use the Speedforce weapon, they fail to capture the villain, leading Savitar to finally kill Iris.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "World's End"

Robbie returns to fight off Aida, but she uses her abilities to escape. She then enacts her plan with Ivanov as they use an LMD of Daisy to shoot Talbot and other intelligence officers, framing SHIELD and the Inhumans in the process. Working with Robbie, they interrupt any further deaths but fail to stop the growing distrust of SHIELD after witnessing what appears to be Daisy going rogue. Fortunately, they regain the Darkhold, planning to set a trap for Aida. Meanwhile, Elena is rescued by Radcliffe in the Framework, and the two find their way to Mack, but he is unable to recognize her as the world continues to disappear around them. In the real world, Aida arrives on the base to confront Fitz, threatening Simmons’s life for the Darkhold. Fitz offers Aida a chance at the Darkhold, revealing Coulson to have it, but Aida seemingly kills Simmons anyway and confronts Coulson.

Simmons, however, is revealed to be alive, using an LMD decoy to distract Aida as Coulson reveals to have made a deal with the Ghost Rider to kill Aida. Their trick is successful, leading Robbie regain the Ghost Rider and return to another dimension. While the Framework continues to disappear around them, Elena refuses to leave Mack as he refuses to leave his daughter. However, as his daughter eventually disappears, the two escape the Framework moments before its destruction. Although Fitz steps up to take the fall for creating Aida, Daisy and the others refuse to abandon their friend and plan to turn themselves in as well after going out for a meal. At a diner, they are approached by a shaded man wielding strange technology. In the final scene, Coulson wakes up in a cell overlooking what seems to be outer space.

Arrow "Missing"

In celebration for capturing Chase, Felicity throws Oliver a surprise birthday party with the team. However, the night takes a rough turn when Dinah and Curtis are knocked out and kidnapped by Talia al Ghul, enacting Chase’s latest plan to make Oliver suffer by taking away his team. Because of this, Oliver plans to have Diggle, Felicity, Lance, and Thea move to an ARGUS safe-house to hide, but Lance and Thea are quickly found and taken by Evelyn and Black Siren, the latter whom has a tense standoff with Lance. As Diggle and Felicity begin to leave town, they are also stopped by Talia and the remaining members of the League of Assassins. As Oliver attempts to predict Chase’s next move, he’s approached by Malcolm Merlyn who offers to help Oliver to rescue Thea. Meanwhile, five years ago, Kovar chains Oliver and injects him with a drug known as Red Death which forces him to relive every pain he’s experienced.

After Oliver discovers Chase has also taken William, he and Malcolm fight off ARGUS guards to have him released, only to have Chase escape and warn Oliver that he’ll “see him on the boat.” Using Felicity’s technology, Oliver tracks down Chase’s location and recruits Nyssa to help rescue the team, though he avoids telling her that they are facing her sister. Meanwhile, five years ago, Oliver is tortured by the drug and experiences a vision of Yao Fei urging him to end his life to end his pain. Before he can kill himself, a vision of Laurel encourages him to hold on for his friends and family, giving him the strength to overpower the drug. Both Oliver and Chase’s teams begin arriving on Lian-Yu to plan for a final confrontation as Oliver recruits his final ally: Slade Wilson.

Supergirl "City of Lost Children"

After a confrontation with a victim, James questions whether Guardian can inspire the city like Supergirl. Suddenly, a telekinetic alien begins an attack downtown, beginning a hunt down for the woman. James becomes involved in the investigation and discovers the woman’s son Marcus. Because Marcus is unresponsive to everyone at the DEO, James attempts to bond with him to learn more about his mother. However, as James shows Marcus around CatCo, Marcus begins an attack on the building, forcing Supergirl to bring him back to the DEO. Meanwhile, Lena continues to work with Rhea on constructing a portal that could lead Rhea back to Daxam. However, the particles used in the portal are revealed to be influencing the mental state of the telepathic aliens, forcing them to attack. When Kara discovers the particle influence, she contacts Lena, only to be surprised to hear Rhea’s voice.

Rhea threatens the safety of Earth in revenge for Kara taking Mon-El with the use of Lena’s portal. James finally helps Marcus open up and lead James and Winn to his mother. Unfortunately, they discover a room of telepathic aliens who all soon become susceptible to the changing particles of Lena’s portal as Rhea activates it. Despite the threat of the alien attack, James manages to calmly reach out to Marcus who calms the other aliens telepathically. Using the signal, Mon-El, Kara, and J’onn track Rhea to the location of the device. As Kara tries to destroy the gate, Rhea uses White Martian technology to trap J’onn is his own mind, and Mon-El confronts his mother at gunpoint. Knowing he could never kill his own mother, Rhea reveals that she has used the gate to prepare an invasion of Daxam forces on Earth.

• James and Winn reference Batman as Clark’s “frenemy” who also wears a mask.
• The Phorians could be a reference to the Euphorians, a telepathic and telekinetic alien race from the Green Lantern comics.

The Flash "Cause and Effect"

Savitar reveals himself to be a time anomaly from Barry’s actions and quickly speeds off after a brief fight with Barry. Back at STAR Labs, Barry informs the team of his discovery, leading Cisco to come up with an idea to use a device erase Barry’s short-term memory to affect or possibly erase Savitar. The device erases Barry’s memories which affects Savitar but also gives Barry total amnesia. Unfortunately, this comes on the day Cecile requires Barry to testify against the criminal Heatmonger in court. Cisco, Julian, Joe, and Iris attempt to help Barry through the process, but he ultimately fails in his testimony, forcing the judge to dismiss the charges. In the meantime, Iris spends more time with Barry to help jog his memory as HR spends some time with Tracy to help complete a device to stop Savitar. Suddenly, the team at STAR Labs is confronted by Killer Frost who reveals that the effects on Savitar has also caused Wally to lose his powers.

With Killer Frost’s help, the team begins reconstructing the machine to regain Barry’s memories as Barry practices his speed. After the testimony fails, Heatmonger takes to the street and begins burning an office building, pushing Barry to act unprepared. However, thanks to Cisco’s machine and an encouraging reminder of his true self from Iris, Barry regains his old memories, and he and a newly-powered Wally take down Heatmonger. With Savitar also regaining his memories, Killer Frost once again leaves STAR Labs despite the pleas of her friends, though she shows some reluctance. Tracy reveals that she has finished the Speedster trap for Savitar but admits that the power needed for it would be more than what’s available in the Sun, the same power source currently being kept by King Shark.

• In the comics, Heatmonger is a villain from New Earth, but she is actually a woman.
• Tracy’s weapon is the same one used by HR in Barry’s vision of the future.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "The Return"

Coulson and May fight off various Ivanov androids in the underwater Russian site as the remaining SHIELD team maneuvers around his forces on the Zephyr. Free of his restrictions, Ivanov sets off torpedoes to take down the site, killing Coulson, as the team race to rescue their friends. Meanwhile, Aida adapts to her emotions, taking Fitz to an undisclosed location to learn them, but Fitz convinces her to help the others as a sign of empathy. Though Aida cannot stop Ivanov without his restrictions, she manages to rescue Mack’s body as he remains in the Framework, taking them all to the destroyed base. Simmons, however, ices both Fitz and Aida as the team struggles with how to deal with the two. The conflict becomes worse as Talbot and the military confront Coulson and the others upon learning about the infiltration within SHIELD and Mace’s death.

Aida speaks to Fitz who reveals to her that while he cannot forgive himself for the things he did in the Framework, he still has feelings for Simmons, setting Aida off on an angry rage. The team try to fight off Aida, but her new abilities gained from the Framework prove to be too powerful against them as she kills the military soldiers. In a last effort, the agents escape on the Zephyr to regather their forces. Finally alone, Fitz and Simmons reconcile their relationship as Coulson and Daisy discover that Elena has plugged herself into the Framework to rescue Mack. From an undisclosed location, Aida returns to Ivanov as they develop new plans to change the world and make the agents suffer. As Talbot examines the base, the portal begins to spark to life, bringing back the Ghost Rider with a fiery chain. Meanwhile, in the Framework, Elena wakes up strapped to a table in a burning building.

Arrow "Honor Thy Fathers"

At City Hall, Oliver receives a package containing a corpse buried in concrete. Dinah and Lance soon discover that this body was a politician murdered by Robert Queen fifteen years ago, much to Oliver and Thea’s shock. Meanwhile, Dinah and Curtis investigate the return of Derek Sampson, and Rene prepares for a custody hearing for his daughter. They soon discover Sampson to be working with Chase as Oliver finds a USB drive containing video proof of Robert inadvertently causing the death of the councilman. Though Oliver and Thea are dismayed to learn about their father’s past actions, Felicity reminds Oliver that despite Robert’s past, he still inspired Oliver to help save the city. Now, he needs to move on from his father’s legacy and live up to his own. Five years ago, Anatoly and Oliver travel back to Lian Yu and prepare a plan an alibi for Oliver to be rescued.

Felicity locates Sampson’s chemical agent in an applied sciences division named for Robert, and Oliver once again dons the Green Arrow suit to confront Prometheus while the team stops Sampson and his gang. Though Chase taunts Oliver for both of them living under their fathers’ legacies, Oliver fires back that Chase is only upholding the legacy of a man who abandoned him. Defeated, Chase asks Oliver to kill him, but Oliver chooses to capture him instead, bringing him to justice. In honor of Robert’s memory, Oliver gives Thea Robert’s last video dedicated for her and gives a press conference confirming Robert’s role in the death but reaffirming Robert’s role in serving the city. Meanwhile, Rene chooses to miss his custody hearing, believing his fight for his daughter to be too traumatizing for her to face. Five years ago on Lian Yu, Oliver is knocked out by Kovar who followed him to the island. Locked up in his cell, Chase secretly relishes in listening to Oliver’s speech, hinting at more to his plan.

Supergirl "Alex"

During a police standoff, Maggie attempts to negotiate with a hostage situation, only to have Supergirl intervene which leaves a sizable rift between the two with Alex. However, Alex is then kidnapped by former Midvale High classmate Rick Malverne who blackmails Kara with the demand to let his father out of prison. While Maggie continues to interrogate him for information, Kara immediately follows a signal sent out by Alex, but the location is revealed to be a trap that triggers Alex’s cell to begin filling with water, giving them only four hours to find her. Meanwhile, Rhea offers a business proposition for a transmatter portal to Lena at L-corp, but Lena rejects the offer after discovering Rhea’s plans have alien proponents that cannot be harnessed on Earth. Though Lena questions Rhea’s motives, Rhea insists that she has been honest in her offer and presents an opportunity without judgement. Unsure about the deal, Lena calls Kara who is too busy handling Alex’s case to give advice.

With Alex’s situation becoming direr, Maggie nearly gives in to Malverne’s deal and prepares to release his father Peter Thompson. Kara catches her in the middle of the act and, following her example, begins to talk to Thompson, appealing to his role as a father to Malverne and the devastation to turning him into a terrorist for his own sake. After hearing Kara, Thompson gives Alex’s real location, just in time for Supergirl to save her. They return Alex to the DEO where she and Maggie exchange their first “I love yous” to each other. J’onn then returns Malverne to jail after wiping his memory of Kara’s secret identity but not before Alex gives the criminal a punch to the face. Kara finally contacts Lena on her decision, but Lena admits that she no longer needs help, having already agreed to Rhea’s deal.

The Flash "I Know Who You Are"

To try and stop Savitar, Barry, Cisco, and HR attempt to find Tracy Brand, the scientist who helps Barry trap Savitar in the future. Unfortunately, they find that Tracy has not even completed her dissertation yet, years away from helping them. Nevertheless, she soon finds herself being hunted down by Killer Frost who has orders from Savitar to kill the future scientist. Although she is apprehensive about the situation, Tracy opens up to HR about her research regarding speedsters, revealing her own knowledge about the Speed Force. With Caitlin now working with Savitar, Cisco and Julian debate over how to deal with their former friend with Cisco unable to fight Caitlin. Meanwhile, Joe struggles in his relationship with Cecile after she tells him she loves him.

The team ultimately reveal the future to Tracy Brand in hopes that she can expedite her work, but the impact of the future intimidates Tracy, leading her to leave. HR eventually finds her and persuades her as the team soon discovers Cecile has been kidnapped to exchange for Tracy. The group confronts Killer Frost with Cisco successfully incapacitating her before Savitar speeds her away, leaving behind a sample of her blood that Julian hopes to help cure Caitlin. After the rescue, Tracy soon theorizes that perhaps the team could use Savitar’s armor to turn on himself, trapping him in the Speed Force. To help his relationship, Joe ultimately confesses his feelings to Cecile and reveals Barry and Wally’s identities as the Flash and Kid Flash respectively. Upon realization, Barry confronts Savitar once again, revealing he knows his true identity: Barry himself in the future.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "Farewell Cruel World"

Elena and the remaining SHIELD agents are forced decloak the ship to power the virtual device as they wait for Daisy and Simmons to return from the Framework. This act leads to them being tracked as they try to fight off the threat. Inside the virtual world, Daisy reveals Aida’s plan to Simmons, and the team begins to plan to move to Radcliffe’s backdoor. Simmons, however, becomes determined to reach Fitz and confronts his father at gunpoint to meet him. Unfortunately, Fitz’s father fights off Simmons, forcing her to shoot him in defense. Against Madame Hydra’s orders, Fitz begins a hunt after the agent behind his father’s death. Under Fitz’s threat and the promise of new world, Radcliffe reveals the location of the backdoor to Fitz. As the team regathers at the backdoor site, revealed to be a steel mill, Aida prepares her machine to create a new body.

Hydra agents swarm the team as Daisy opens the portal through a molten pot. In the fight, Coulson makes it through the portal, causing a ripple effect that reveals the Framework’s digital creation to May and Mack. Fitz then corners Simmons, threatening to kill her despite her pleas. Radcliffe then turns suit and forces Fitz through the portal to the real world, revealing his betrayal of Fitz to Simmons and reassuring his good nature. Despite learning about the Framework, Mack declines to leave, preferring to stay in the same world as his daughter. Daisy returns to real world just as Fitz wakes up with Coulson and May, horrified at the things he did. Aida then enters the room, revealing to now have a real body. Before the others can react, Aida grabs onto Fitz, and the two disappear.

Arrow "Underneath"

Chase sets off an EMP that takes out all electronic devices in the bunker, including the spinal chip that allows Felicity to walk, and traps Oliver and Felicity inside with the doors sealed. The rest of their team eventually discover the trap and race against the clock to rescue them before they run out of air. Meanwhile, Lyla and Diggle argue over their compromised morality they’ve experienced in their work. Oliver attempts to escape through the elevator shaft despite Felicity’s warning, but a trap set by Chase sets off, wounding Oliver. Another attempt to restart the power leads to a methane pipe explosion which As Oliver begins passing out from the effort, he reveals to Felicity his confession to enjoying killing his victims. Felicity responds that despite his experiences, he never turned into a monster, showing that he is better than he believes. In a flashback eleven months earlier, Oliver and Felicity reexamine their relationship which leads to an impromptu date and sex inside the bunker.

Using Curtis’s T-Spheres, the rest of the team is able to provide an exit for Oliver and Felicity, but the mainframe is set to cause an explosion. The team then rushes to manually turn the vents back on as Diggle goes to retrieve the two. Despite his exhaustion, Oliver is able to help Felicity escape before he is rushed to emergency surgery. Lyla offers the use of ARGUS for a temporary base as Diggle apologizes for his lack of trust. In the flashback, Felicity ultimately still rejects a new relationship with Oliver after his lack of trust in revealing his son but keeps the option open for the future. As Oliver recovers, Felicity apologizes for working with Helix, saying she finally understands his own unwillingness to trust. In the final scene Chase finds Oliver’s son William.

Supergirl "Ace Reporter"

During an ordinary day, Lena asks Kara to accompany her to a conference on nanotechnology hosted by her ex-boyfriend Jack Spheer. There, Spheer debuts a new technology called Biomax which promises huge medical advancements, but a former lab technician warns Kara that the human tests were faked, making the nanobots dangerous. After he is killed after his warning, Kara follows a lead by Snapper Carr to a supposed human test subject where they are attacked by a swarm of nanobots. With no leads, she is forced to crash a date between Lena and Spheer with Mon-El to learn more. Mon-El secretly steals Spheer’s security badge, leading the tow to his office. From his research, they discover evidence of the nanobots’ destruction covered up by Spheer who injected himself with the technology. Meanwhile, Winn’s girlfriend Lyra joins Guardian on his nightly missions, though her aggressive behavior leads to a conflict between the couple.

Kara warns Lena on Spheer’s deception, giving her some of their evidence to indict him. To promote the truth, Kara apologizes to Carr and offers her own work to corroborate their knowledge of Biomax. While Kara is correct that there were no human trials, Carr finds that the company’s CFO Beth Breen stands to gain from Biomax failing, believing her to be behind the scandal. Lean confronts Spheer on Biomax and discovers Beth Breen to be controlling the nanobots as well as Spheer, working to extend the control around the city. Supergirl arrives to fight off the nanobots as Lena fights off Breen. Eventually, Lena gets the opening to shut down the mainframe, but the act also kills Spheer from his connection to the nanobots. Meanwhile, James ultimately agrees to let Lyra work with him so long as she follows his orders. Because of her work, Carr re-hires Kara to CatCo Media, and Lena is paid a visit by Rhea who offers a business proposition.

The Flash "The Once and Future Flash"

Barry decides to travel to 2024 to discover Savitar’s identity. Unfortunately, he finds himself in a future with a Barry devastated by Iris’s death, a paralyzed Wally, a grieving Joe, an isolated Cisco, and Julian keeping Killer Frost prisoner in his lab after the latter joined up with Savitar with the city overrun by an even stronger Mirror Master and Top. Even worse, future Barry admits to not knowing Savitar’s real identity, advising Barry to return home. However, when Barry attempts to return home, he finds himself unable to open a breach, especially when Cisco reveals he has lost his powers after confronting Caitlin years ago. Barry once again confronts his future self who reveals that while he was able to trap Savitar in the Speed Force, he was still unable to save Iris. Meanwhile, the remaining team at STAR Labs struggle to consider what to do next when Caitlin escapes the lab as Killer Frost.

Under Cisco’s advice, Barry regathers the members of the team to help him reopen the breach to return him home. Gathering Julian, Joe, and HR, Barry convinces the group to work together again to take on the Rogues. Though the two nearly overpower Barry, his future self finally joins in, using a device made by Cisco to short-out the Rogues’ powers. Inspired by his past self, future Barry decides to reset the team. As a sign of thanks, he gives Barry a drive with information from Tracy Brand, someone who helped him trap Savitar, though he warns the technology wasn’t available until four years after Iris’s death. Together, they help Barry return to 2017 with a new plan to find Caitlin before she teams up with Savitar. Meanwhile, Killer Frost comes face-to-face with Savitar outside the city who offers to make sure Caitlin never returns. When she questions why she should trust him, Savitar removes his armor, revealing his identity to her.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "All the Madame's Men"

Daisy and May fight their way through the Hydra facility with Daisy blasting Madame Hydra to escape. With Madame Hydra injured, Fitz takes control and orders a manhunt for the two agents while the Resistance scramble to develop a new plan after the death of the Patriot. As Daisy and May try to find shelter, they are soon surrounded by Hydra soldiers, alerting the base. Coulson and Mack then leave to rescue their friend and, upon Daisy’s defense, allow May to travel with them back to the base. Meanwhile, Simmons finds evidence of Project Looking Glass located in Ivanov’s property on the Baltic Sea, leading she and Trip on a reconnaissance mission. From there, she discovers Aida’s real plan is to create a real body.

On Madame Hydra’s orders, Fitz continues preparation on Project Looking Glass to ensure her betterment in “the other world.” On Fitz’s orders, his father interrogates Radcliffe for Daisy and May’s location, but he refuses to give up information to someone he calls “a snippet of code.” Using May’s footage of the Patriot’s death, the team broadcasts the truth behind Hydra with Coulson revealing himself to be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. The reveal leads to an uprising in the public with people rallying at the station to help S.H.I.E.L.D.’s cause. In the real world, Ivanov grows restless at his inability to kill in his new body, but Aida reveals her plan to override that restriction with her new machine. In addition, Ivanov reveals his men have located Daisy and Simmons on a SHIELD jet, ready to be shot down at his orders.

An ARGUS agent is found dead in an elevator shaft, leading the team to look into the murder as Felicity connects back to Helix. To her shock, she discovers Helix to be behind the murder as they plan to find and release their associate Cayden James from ARGUS. In exchange for her help, Helix offers Felicity a piece of James’s tech which could allow her to locate Chase anywhere. While Felicity explains her option to the team, Lyla refuses to cave in to Helix’s demands, leading Oliver and Felicity to be on separate sides. Meanwhile, Lance connects with Ramirez after discovering the situation surrounding his daughter. However, he is surprised to learn that Ramirez chooses not to visit his daughter even though he has a chance. To make things right, Lance sets up a meeting between the two and begins helping on the case to allow Ramirez visits.

The team attempts to block Helix’s breakout of Cayden James, but they are surprised to find that his location is actually in a black ops location miles from ARGUS. Helix begins attacking the correct spot, forcing Felicity to choose to help them escape and prevent her friends from stopping the plan. Meanwhile, Diggle confronts Lyla for essentially holding a man in prison without due process, but Lyla stands by her choice, believing Cayden James to be too dangerous to be set free, creating a tension between the couple. After the heist, Felicity returns to Helix to find it abandoned after Helix discovers her loyalty to her team. Nevertheless, she obtains a new code to help the team track Chase. To their surprise, the program reveals Chase to be inside the lair, and a large explosion goes off with Oliver and Felicity inside the chaos.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "No Regrets"

Coulson and Mace find and apprehend a Hydra prison bus to allow them to infiltrate a reeducation camp. Despite Coulson’s warnings, Simmons attempts to reach out to Mace, but he doubts her story about their reality being false. However, she becomes concerned when she learns about Mack’s daughter in the Framework. Meanwhile, Daisy is tortured for the location of the Resistance by Fitz and Madame Hydra, who offers Daisy a chance at a new life away with Lincoln in exchange for surrendering. After refusing the offer, she soon learns from Radcliffe about a secret backdoor that could provide their escape. Despite working well into Project Looking Glass, Fitz expresses some mixed feelings after killing Agnes, something his father cautions him against in Hydra. In order to take on the Patriot, May volunteers herself to test a new serum to augment her strength against the Inhuman.

Using the bus, Coulson and Mace sneak into the Hydra camp to recover Mace’s infiltrator: Antoine Triplett. Simmons and Ward later join the group to provide an escape as Coulson leaves to rescue captured children. Unfortunately, May catches up with Mace, and the two square off in a fight that ultimately ends in a victory for Mace. May then calls for an attack on the building to kill the team but is surprised to learn that it contains child prisoners. Mace ultimately sacrifices himself to let the others escape, leading to his death in the real world as well. Despite seeing the team as terrorists, May allows them to escape, acknowledging Mace’s sacrifice. Following the team’s escape, May confronts Daisy in captivity. Knowing about Daisy’s status as an Inhuman, May tosses a terrigen crystal, causing Daisy to once again go through Terrigenesis.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "Identity and Change"

Daisy and Simmons sneak Coulson out of his school as Ward plans to sneak them to the location of the Resistance. In their rush, they soon discover that Radcliffe is also present within the Framework, hopefully with a way for them to escape. However, Daisy is soon taken aside by May and Fitz as they prepare to hunt down Simmons as a SHIELD traitor. Simmons and Coulson manage to reach the Resistance at their former SHIELD base restored and led by an Inhuman Jeffery Mace. Against his better judgement, he lets Simmons and Coulson go to retrieve Radcliffe with Ward as extra protection, against Simmons’ wishes. Meanwhile, Mack and his daughter Hope are interrogated by Hydra forces after his daughter reconstructs a Hydra drone. Once captured and interrogated by May, Mack outs Daisy as a traitor to gain his and his daughter’s release, something that shocks Hope after Daisy was kind to her.

Simmons and Coulson confront Radcliffe as he appears to be hiding in a remote island with Agnes. Unfortunately, he reveals that his own way of escaping the Framework has been destroyed, believing that AIDA likely also interfered with their route as well. At that moment, Madame Hydra assembles forces to attack Radcliffe with Fitz threatening to kill Agnes for Radcliffe’s interference. Radcliffe tries to appeal to Fitz’s better side, but Fitz still shoots and kills Agnes to the horror of Simmons. Ward manages to evacuate Simmons and Coulson, but Radcliffe is taken in the impact. Once they return to the base, the team is surprised to find Mack who expresses a desire to help after betraying Daisy. Unfortunately, after Daisy and Radcliffe are now captured at Hydra, Fitz outs her as an Inhuman and prepares to have her experimented for her betrayal.

Legends of Tomorrow "Aruba"

Rip successfully navigates the Waverider to the remaining Legends. Sneaking into STAR Labs, they successfully steal back Ray’s ATOM suit to restore Rip and the Waverider to their original size. Together, they plan to go back to WWI to retrieve the Spear, even though doing so would erase themselves from existence. Unfortunately, Thawne follows them back, leading to him killing Ray as the rest of the team attempt to steal back the Spear of Destiny from their past selves. This proves to be more difficult as their past selves discover the trick, ultimately causing a timequake. Despite the risk, the two Legend teams face off against the Legion with many members dying in the fight. Before they escape, the team is soon surrounded by an army of Eobard Thawnes who begin killing everyone. In the midst of the chaos, Sara is tempted to use the Spear to rewrite reality.

The Spear shows Sara a vision of being with her sister Laurel who offers her the chance to shape reality the way she wants, but Sara ultimately chooses the right thing and depowers the Spear before Thawne can take it. In the open, Thawne is finally caught and erased from existence by the Black Flash. Stopping the new reality erases the previous team from existence as well, leaving the remaining team to capture the Legion. They ultimately return the three to their original teams, erasing their memories of the previous events. Although Amaya understands her destiny in 1942, she chooses to stay on the Waverider with Nate. Meanwhile, Rip chooses to leave the team, believing the Waverider is in more capable hands with Sara as captain. As they fly to Aruba for a vacation, however, their effects on the past lead them to a devastated Los Angeles overrun by dinosaurs.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "What If..."

In the Framework without her powers, Daisy finds herself working with Ward and May in a ruling Hydra system while Simmons finds herself in the scrapping through the remains of a SHIELD academy. At the Triskelion, Daisy finds Vijay Nadeer being tortured for information after smuggling Terrigen, revealing to Daisy that Hydra took over after the Bahrain incident. Instead of killing the Inhuman girl, May rescued her and placed her in a school which killed several people in Boston. The crisis led to Hydra expanding its reach to quell the Inhuman threat. Fitz also works against this threat by programming surveillance and testing devices to find and torture Inhuman suspects. Simmons herself fights off the massive surveillance as she is suspected by carrying an old SHIELD I.D. from the academy. Fortunately, she escapes capture and attempts to locate Coulson.

Sadly, Coulson remains a regular teacher who firmly believes in Hydra’s message to the point of watching a student be turned in for questioning. Simmons attempts to help him remember, but he refuses her statements as delusions. After the meeting, Daisy and Simmons reunite only to be confronted by Ward and incoming officers. However, Ward gets Simmons and Daisy away from the authorities, revealing himself to be a double agent to protect an Inhuman Skye from Hydra. In a safe spot, Daisy and Simmons attempt to escape, but their device fails, leaving them trapped in the Framework. Meanwhile, Fitz reports the finding of a Hydra traitor to the director Madame Hydra, who appears to be a version of Aida, but she hides the mention of Simmons to him, revealing their own romantic relationship. In desperation, Daisy confronts Coulson on her own for a hint of recognition in this terrifying world. Against all odds, Coulson remembers her by name.

The lie detector from the season one episode “The Only Light In The Darkness” makes an appearance.

Supergirl "Distant Sun"

After a series of alien attacks, the DEO soon discover that a bounty has been placed on Supergirl, making the city a target for more attacks. By order of the president, J’onn orders Kara to lay low to prevent an intergalactic crisis, and Mon-El later accuses his parents of setting the bounty to have him leave Earth. Although they deny it, J’onn interrogates a telepathic alien who attacked Kara using Mon-El and discovers that Rhea did indeed place the bounty. Kara convinces Mon-El to speak with his mother to appeal to her better side in the Fortress of Solitude, but Rhea soon turns on them, using a kryptonite dagger to harm Kara. With this threat, Mon-El agrees to leave. Meanwhile, Alex and Maggie go through a rough patch after encountering Maggie’s ex Emily. When Alex confronts Emily on ignoring an invitation to meet with them, she reveals that Maggie had previously cheated on her during their relationship.

Rhea imprisons Mon-El as they plan to leave Earth. The DEO team then uses the Cadmus portal to enter the Daxamite ship and fight off Rhea. J’onn initially disguises himself as Kara to fight off the kryptonite, but Kara quickly enters the fray to save him. Winn secretly enters and releases Mon-El, but Kara is weakened in the fight. In seeing Mon-El show concern for Kara and J’onn, Lar Gand stops his wife and allows Mon-El to return to Earth, sensing his own happiness. Meanwhile, Alex and Maggie talk about Emily as Alex accepts the past so long as Maggie can begin to trust her. J’onn awaits his consequences for going against orders from the President who is revealed to be an alien in disguise. As the Daxamite ship begins to leave, Rhea kills Lar Gand for betraying her, vowing that she isn’t finished with Earth.

The Flash "Abra Kadabra"

A new villain from the 64^th century named Abra Kadabra attacks Stagg Industries, forcing Gypsy to return to return him the Earth-19. When Kadabra attacks STAR Labs, Barry captures him, but the villain offers an ultimatum: if he is set free, he will reveal Savitar’s identity with his knowledge from the future. Gypsy allows Barry to interrogate Kadabra, but when Joe goes to speak with him to save Iris, Kadabra escapes and sets off an explosion against Joe, Caitlin, and Julian. The explosion leaves Caitlin forcibly wounded but, since they are unable to go to a hospital without revealing her status as a meta, Julian is forced to perform in-house surgery as Caitlin guides him. Upon Kadabra’s escape, Gypsy reveals that she previously had a partner who was murdered by the villain and theorizes that the technology that he is stealing will be used to make a time machine for him to return to the future.

Barry, Wally, and Cisco then chase Kadabra in wormholes throughout the city as he attempts to use his machine. Barry then phases through the machine to apprehend Kadabra and return him to Gypsy for custody in Earth-19. Before leaving, Kadabra warns Barry about how they remain enemies even in the future. While they still do not know the identity of Savitar, Barry reveals his new plan to Iris: to travel to the future to learn about Savitar himself. Though Caitlin’s surgery appears to go fine, she soon seizes up and eventually goes into cardiac arrest. In a desperate attempt to save her life, Julian removes her power inhibitor to restart her metahuman abilities. While her powers are able to heal her injuries, they cause her to lash against Julian and Cisco, turning her into Killer Frost.

Legends of Tomorrow "Doomworld"

In a world run by the Legion of Doom, Darhk acts as mayor for Star City with Merlyn maintaining his wealth and Thawne running STAR Labs. Jax, Stein, and Ray work for Thawne, Sara and Amaya hunt down vigilantes for Darhk, and Rip remains stuck on the Waverider baking cakes. Though the Legion are successful, Darhk and Merlyn remain distrustful of Thawne, especially as Mick shows signs of regret. Soon, Nate arrives and attempts to explain his theory of time scars to this reality, leading Mick to rescue him and reveal the truth. Together, they find Ray and use his recent invention to regain their memories of the previous reality. After being attacked by Sara and Amaya, the three are able to regain Sara and regroup on a plan to find the others. Meanwhile, Stein works on a device for Thawne that the villain plans to use to destroy the Spear of Destiny and maintain this reality.

To retrieve the Spear of Destiny, the team infiltrate the headquarters and attack, just as Darhk and Merlyn plan to take the Spear for themselves from Thawne. Unfortunately, Stein destroys Ray’s device out of distrust for Jax, preventing him from joining. Mick blasts the Spear from Thawne for a restored Amaya to use to fix reality. However, Snart then freezes and kills her with his gun, returning the Spear to Thawne. Thawne then destroys the Spear, allowing the others to live only to realize how fruitless their efforts have been. Regrouping, Sara suggests returning to 1916 to prevent the Spear from landing in the Legion’s hands, but they still have no idea where Rip or the Waverider could be. Fortunately, Rip puts out a distress signal on the fixed ship to find the others, revealing to be trapped miniaturized on Thawne’s desk in STAR Labs.

Arrow "Disbanded"

Oliver disbands the team, despite the others not accepting the news. Instead, Diggle and Felicity work to catch Chase with Felicity using Helix technology to find proof on his real identity as Prometheus. With the inability to stop Chase, Oliver is forced to watch him go free and breaks up with Susan, believing him to be toxic to people around him. In order to try and stop Chase’s killing spree, Oliver is forced to look for help from Anatoly and the Bratva. In exchange for stopping Chase, Oliver allows the group to steal diabetic drugs to create a new street drug in the city. Against Oliver’s wishes, Diggle and the team interfere with capturing Chase but fail to stop the villain. Five years ago in Russia, Oliver reveals his plan to return to Lian Yu to Anatoly, but Anatoly requests Oliver’s help in securing drugs for the Bratva, believing Oliver to be a good man by his side.

Diggle soon convinces Oliver to help them take down Chase the right way, believing that the team can help Oliver move on from the past. Unfortunately, Anatoly refuses to back down from their deal. Together, the team breaks into an industry building to find the Bratva, leading to Oliver and Anatoly at a standoff. Despite their past relationship, Oliver sets off an alarm, forcing both men to leave on separate sides. Felicity secures proof that Chase is Prometheus, leading Oliver to restart the team with a renewed sense of purpose. Diggle and Dinah then deliver the information to the SCPD which renegades on Chase’s protection deal and seeks out his arrest. Despite being wanted, Chase kills the US marshals who are after his arrest and heads back to Star City.

Supergirl "Star-Crossed"

An alien ship arrives in National City demanding the release of Mon-EL. After Mon-El agrees for the city’s safety, Kara sneaks with him and finds the ship run by King Lar-Gand and Queen Rhea of Daxam, Mon-El’s parents. From the revelation that Mon-El is the prince, he is forced to admit to Kara how his escape only came from a guard killing a Kryptonian ambassador and stealing his pod. Furious at Mon-El’s deception, Kara leaves him with his parents, but Rhea later contacts Kara to help her convince Mon-El to return to a restored Daxam with them. Meanwhile, Winn is framed for stealing an art piece after Lyra tricks him on one of their dates. With Maggie and James’s help, Winn soon discovers Lyra to be an art thief and smuggler for an alien gang lead by one named Mandrax. However, Lyra reveals to Winn that her crimes are only to help protect her brother.

Although Mon-El attempts to reconcile with Kara, Kara refuses to accept his apology. Instead, she advises him to meet up with his parents since she herself would never have the chance to see her family and her world again. In the meantime, Winn and Lyra confront Mandrax and his gang with the help of Guardian and Maggie with the NCPD. Although Lyra betrayed him, Winn offers his forgiveness, and the two reconcile. Despite meeting with his parents, Mon-El refuses to leave Earth and rebukes his parents for their rule on Daxam. Returning to the DEO, Kara plans to visit Central City to get away from her thoughts. However, she is then struck down by a new DEO prisoner who steals Winn’s new device and escapes to Earth-1. In a new world, Kara finds herself the new act at a music club.

The Flash "Duet"

In STAR Labs, J’onn and Mon-El appear with an unconscious Kara warning about the Music Meister in their world. The Music Meister soon shows up and incapacitates Barry, transporting him into the same world as Kara. Finding each other, they soon discover they are without their powers in a world with doppelgangers of Malcolm Merlyn, Cisco, Winn, and some of their other friends. The Music Meister then warns them that they are in a musical world that can only be escaped by finishing the story. As they continue the songs, Barry is knocked out by Martin Stein, who appears as an opposing mobster to Merlyn. Joe, a fellow mobster and romantic partner of Stein’s, demands Barry help him find his daughter Iris who has been seen with Mon-El’s doppelganger, the son of Merlyn’s character. Meanwhile, Wally, J’onn, and Cisco attempt to stop the Music Meister from wreaking havoc in Central City after he apparently displays both Kara and Barry’s powers.

Despite Wally’s initial apprehensive back in the field, the three successfully subdue the Music Meister and take him to STAR Labs. Meanwhile, Barry and Kara return Iris to her father, but the reveal of her secret relationship begins a turf war between the mobsters. In the midst of the fighting, Barry and Kara are shot, spiking their vitals in the real world. Cisco successfully vibes Iris and Mon-El into the musical world just as Barry and Kara near death. The two then kiss their respective partners which brings the musical to an end. The Music Meister escapes his captivity, revealing his plan was only to teach Barry and Kara a lesson on love before disappearing. Back at home, Barry puts his feelings into a song to express himself to Iris, ending with another proposal that she accepts.

Legends of Tomorrow "Fellowship of the Spear"

The Legends plan to take on the Legion and retrieve the remaining pieces of the Spear from their location in The Vanishing Point. While they regain the pieces and reform the Spear, they learn that they can only destroy it with the blood of Christ. Fortunately, Nate believes they can locate a supply of the blood with the help of workings by writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, the future author of The Hobbit who would be serving in World War I at the time of his research. The team reclaims Tolkien, but after witnessing the war and another vision of Snart respectively, Amaya and Mick begin feeling tempted to use the Spear for their own purposes. Fortunately, the team locates Sir Gawain’s tomb where Tolkien believes the blood of Christ to be. Meanwhile, after being outdone by the Legends, the Legion plan to even their odds.

At the tomb, Darhk and Snart confront the Legends, revealing Snart to have been brought back from the past and revealed the Legends’ secrets from his relationship with Mick. With Tolkien’s help, the team uses the Spear to locate Christ’s blood in the middle of the WWI battlefield after Rip successfully calls the battle to a brief truce. However, when about to destroy the Spear, Mick instead turns the Spear over to Snart and the Legion, leaving with them as Thawne speeds the group. Though Amaya is tempted to leave for the Spear, she remains with her team, though she openly disagrees with Sara’s methods. The Legends escape but soon lose Christ’s blood when Nate drops the vial. Without the blood, the Legends are helpless as the Legion activate the Spear.

Arrow "Kapiushon"

Chase continues to torture Oliver for killing his father and several others while waiting for him to confess a secret. After reminding Oliver of all his victims, Chase then brings in a tortured Evelyn to force him to fight or have her be killed. Though she is willing to fight to survive, Oliver refuses to fight her despite her betrayal, leading Chase to snap her neck in front of him. In Russia five years ago, Anatoli becomes leader of the Bratva which gives him access to Kovar and his plans. From a meeting, he discovers that Kovar is partnering with Malcolm Merlyn to help overthrow the Russian government and take control. Oliver uses this information to interrupt a trade of sarin gas by killing several of Kovar’s men and later torturing some for information, though Anatoli warns against his methods. To move closer, he works with Taiana’s mother to enter Kovar’s building, though her act leads to her being tortured by Kovar’s men.

Unfortunately, Kovar plans to trick and kill several members of the Bratva by poisoning them and framing the crime on the group in his building, setting off the sarin gas inside a casino. Oliver then fights Kovar and, against Anatoli’s advice, stabs Kovar in the chest. Though Oliver gains a tattoo for his work in the Bratva, Anatoli warns him of the man he may become. However, as Merlyn later looks over Kovar’s body, he soon discovers Kovar to be alive. Oliver finally confesses to Chase that he secretly enjoyed killing all his victims. After divulging this information, Chase reveals Evelyn to be alive and lets Oliver go after burning his Bratva tattoo. Oliver then returns to the base and officially ends his role as the Green Arrow by dumping his quiver.

The Flash "Into the Speed Force"

Barry plans to enter the Speed Force himself to rescue Wally while the rest of the STAR Labs team monitor from Earth-1. Once entering the Speed Force, Barry comes face to face with Eddie Thawne who warns him that Wally is being kept prisoner for Barry’s actions. In response to Barry’s actions for Flashpoint, the Speed Force then confronts Barry as Ronnie Raymond and Zoom to punish him. Barry fights them off to find Wally trapped in an endless loop of watching his mother’s death. Though Barry tries to rescue Wally, he is stopped by a figure of Leonard Snart who freezes him until they are stopped by Jay Garrick who was vibed in by Cisco to provide assistance. Meanwhile, Jesse encourages Cisco and the team to try and track down Savitar using the piece Barry broke off him. When they refuse to act without Barry, Jesse takes the piece herself to find Savitar. Though she struggles in their encounter, she manages to stab Savitar through his armor, forcing him to escape.

In the Speed Force, Jay ultimately takes Wally’s place to allow the two to escape, leaving behind his winged helmet as a memento. Barry and Wally return to Earth-1 where Wally decides to take a break from his duty after the trauma he’s faced. Jesse, however, reveals to him and the team that she plans to travel to Earth-3 to take Jay’s place as The Flash. Fortunately, from Jesse’s encounter, the team soon deduce that Savitar rather than being a god is still a man who can feel pain, meaning that they can still find a way to beat him. Meanwhile, Barry and Iris discuss their relationship after Iris discovered the reason behind his proposal. Though the two still have feelings for each other, Barry agrees to give her space by moving in with Cisco.

Legends of Tomorrow "Moonshot"

In 1965, Rip places Nate’s grandfather Commander Steel to safeguard a piece of the Spear of Destiny. For safekeeping, Henry placed his piece inside the flagpole Neil Armstrong left on the moon in 1969. In 1970, the Legends find Henry working on the Apollo 13 mission. When Henry explains that the launch went off perfectly, they realize that history has been changed. From this change, the team learns the Eobard Thawne snuck onto the spacecraft disguised as an astronaut aiming to steal the piece on the moon. Fortunately, Ray is able to sneak onto the ship with his suit, but he is quickly found out, leading to a fight that separates their craft from the main ship. Meanwhile, Henry is resentful of Rip for sending him on a mission away from his family, and Nate and Amaya debate on whether Henry should risk an aberration by returning, leading to Amaya revealing Henry’s future to Henry himself.

Ray retrieves the piece of the Spear of Destiny from the moon, but damage from a meteor shower prevents his ship and the Waverider from departing. Reluctantly, Ray and the team are forced to trust Thawne to repair both the Apollo 13 and the Waverider in order to survive. Despite his help, Thawne escapes from the team’s grasp, revealing himself to be a time remnant that should not exist. Although reluctant to take Rip’s mission, Henry sacrifices himself to open the Waverider’s cargo door to help Sara pilot the ship back to Earth, leading Nate to relay the news to Henry’s young son and his future father. As the team regroups, Rip acknowledges Sara’s own success as a much better captain. In the end, Amaya apologizes for her behavior towards Nate but secretly asks Gideon to pull up the records regarding her granddaughter Mari.

Arrow "Checkmate"

Oliver travels to a snowy mountain where he finds Talia Al-Ghul who reveals her lineage as well as Adrian Chase’s identity as Prometheus after training him. When Oliver confronts Chase as the Green Arrow, however, Chase reveals that he is holding Susan captive, threatening her if he does him any harm. The team works to track down Chase through his mother and wife, but Chase remains one step ahead of them at every turn. With news about the Green Arrow confronting Chase grows, Oliver is forced to call for the vigilante to turn himself in or risk being shot on sight. Meanwhile, Felicity is introduced to the workings of Helix who are eager for her to repay them for their help in tracking down Prometheus. Five years ago in Russia, Oliver and Anatoli plan to go after Gregor with Oliver disguised as the Hood.

After hacking Homeland Security files for Helix, Felicity is given enough information to incriminate Chase to Captain Pike, but Chase moves to take him out before the arrest. In a final move, the team discovers where Chase is holding Susan and plan to use Chase’s wife against him. Unfortunately, Chase further surprises them by murdering his own wife. The rest of the team manages to escape Prometheus’s clutches after Oliver rescues Susan. However, when Oliver confronts Chase once again, he is knocked out by an arrow fired by Talia. Once the team regroups, they discover both Oliver and Chase to be missing. In Russia, Oliver fires several arrows into Gregor who recognizes Oliver as he plans to kill the man. In an empty cell, Talia and Chase hold Oliver captive.

• Chase’s real name is revealed to be Simon Morrison, named after DC writer Grant Morrison.
• Oliver dons his original Hood costume in the Russia flashback.
• In the flashback, Oliver states that it would be impossible for someone to hack a bullet-ridden laptop. This is the similar to the case of the laptop Oliver brought in for Felicity to scan back in season one.
