Aquaman #9

“League of His Own,” by Dan Abnett
and artist Scott Eaton, finally shows the monster on land. Aquaman is
advised not to go, let the heroes on the land deal with it now, but
he's having no word of it. He's going to leave Atlantis, and go onto
land, to make sure that no innocent lives are lost. Meanwhile, Mera
is still with the Widows. They definitely aren't going easy on her,
but I can't say I blame them. You want to make sure that the future
queen is going to be loyal to the king and make sure she knows what
is best for Atlantis. However, they could be a little nicer. I'm
curious to see how Mera is going to get out of this, with or without
the Widow's approval of her as the new Queen.
How this comic ends, I'm pretty sure
we're going to see some members (if not all) of the Justice League.
I'm curious to see which ones are going to show up and how they're
going to defeat this monster. Obviously, this monster is on a mission
to destroy and is letting nothing stay in his way. Aquaman is going
to need more than just one member of the team to help him, that is if
he is able to fight after sending this monster into space.
The Verdict: This has been the most
(I think) action packed Aquaman issue so far. I'm pretty sure the
next issue will be even more so.
