The SmackDown Files: WWE Presents - Scar vs. Grown Simba Starring Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon (10-3-2017)

Hello everyone and welcome another installment of The SmackDown Files. Tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live emanated from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. WWE wraps up their two-night stand in the Mile High City by hyping the Hell in a Cell PPV which takes place this Sunday in Detroit, Michigan. Did the company give fans a reason to care about the most hellish night of the year? The answer to that question can be found throughout this blog. Without further ado, let’s dissect tonight’s show in no particular order.

·        SD Live kicked off with Renee Young conducting an in-ring interview with Shinsuke Nakamura. Young asked Nakamura how he felt about Jinder Mahal’s inflammatory comments over the past few weeks. Nakamura took the high road and vowed to shut Mahal up by winning the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell on Sunday.

·        The Singh Brothers came out to introduce Mahal as Nakamura waited for him to come down to the ring. Instead, the modern-day Maharaja attacked him from behind which resulted in a three-on-one beat down.

·        Nakamura fought back, but it was to no avail as Mahal dropped him with the Cobra Clutch Slam to wrap up the opening segment.

·        This was a fine way to start the show. Mahal got in the last shot which hints at a potential title change, but it’s not a stone cold lock because WWE will be touring India in December and it would behoove them to have Mahal as champion to solidify his status as the Golden Boy who can draw money in his home country. Therefore, the company is probably looking to cash-in on Mahal while they can before he drops the title early next year. Nakamura winning the championship would breathe new life into the main event scene, but it’s a matter of dollars and cents/sense at this point.

·        Natalya and Carmella defeated Charlotte and Becky Lynch when Natalya made Charlotte tap out to the Sharpshooter in a decent match. Charlotte made a great babyface comeback, but Carmella prevented Lynch from helping her best friend when she pulled her out of the ring and hit her in the back with the Money in the Bank Briefcase which led to the finish moments later.

·        WWE booking suggests that a title change is afoot at HIAC. Will Charlotte become a five-time Women’s Champion or will Natalya squash her hopes and dreams in Motown? We shall find out soon enough.

·        Bobby Roode defeated Mike Kanellis with the Glorious DDT in a quick maintenance match leading up to his bout against Dolph Ziggler at HIAC on Sunday.

·        Ziggler acted like the world’s worst drum major as the fans chanted for CM Punk. Ziggler wanted to prove that Roode was nothing more than a flashy entrance by outclassing him in the ring.

·        Roode had the last word by leading the crowd in a “Glorious!” chant as Ziggler looked on in disdain.

·        This was a nice way to add heat for their match even though the outcome is almost academic at this point.

·        The Usos and The New Day had a semi-civil conversation leading up their Hell in a Cell match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The Usos were great as they described what would happen to The New Day once they were locked inside the Uso Penitentiary.

·        The New Day came out to show reverence for the tag team division by giving Jimmy and Jey credit for pushing them to new limits. However, the quasi-pleasantries came to an end when Kofi Kingston stated that The Usos would be lying in their Day One Ish once the dust was settled.

·        This was a fine way for both teams to get some shine on the mic without getting physical. 50/50 booking can take a breather. For now…

·        Tye Dillinger defeated Baron Corbin with an inside cradle in a decent match. The outcome was a bit shocking considering the fact Corbin needs to look strong heading into his United States Championship match against AJ Styles at HIAC.

·        However, Corbin not capitalizing on his opportunities appears to be an on-going storyline as Styles humbled him during a backstage promo.

·        Styles called out Corbin for not trying hard enough when it comes to winning the Big One. He let John Cena beat him at SummerSlam, failed to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, and got upset by Dillinger tonight. Styles noted that it takes hard work in order to make it to the top. Corbin’s stint in the upper mid-card scene might be short-lived if he fails to win the US Title on Sunday.

·        This was good final hard sell as Styles tried to light a fire under Corbin’s ass. Will it backfire on him for all the wrong reasons? We shall see.

·        Randy Orton made quick work of Aiden English when he dropped him with an RKO out of nowhere. Rusev tried to sneak attack Orton, but The Viper was in a position to strike which stopped Rusev in his tracks. The return of Rusev Day remains on hold until further notice.

·        Before Shane McMahon confronted Kevin Owens in the ring, Sami Zayn tried to convince McMahon that Owens was a dangerous sociopath who shouldn’t be taken lightly. Shane appreciated the sage advice, but he had things under control. Is this a hint of foreshadowing for Zayn turning heel based on getting brushed off by his boss? Hmm…

·        Shane McMahon’s Hell in a Cell match against Kevin Owens will be Falls Count Anywhere. It’s a way to ensure that Owens has nowhere to hide come Sunday. McMahon vowed to change Owens’ life by beating some humility and respect into him.

·        Owens appeared in the crowd and laughed off Shane’s threat. KO headed up the stairs as Shane-O-Mac called him a coward for not facing him like a man. He decided to bring the fight to Owens by following him to the concession stand.

·        Owens attacked Shane from behind and kicked his ass from pillar to post. He power bombed Shane through a table before heading towards the ring.

·        Owens agreed with Shane’s added stipulation because he planned to make his life a living hell. Owens wanted to grind Shane’s face against the steel. He wanted to powerbomb Shane to the point that he couldn’t remember his children’s names.

·        Most importantly, he wanted to throw Grown Simba from the top of the cell to ensure that he wouldn’t get back up.

·        Shane came back out through the crowd as Owens told him to stand down. Sensing that Shane wasn’t going to take no for an answer, Owens climbed over the barricade and attacked him first.

·        Shane fought back, but Owens overpowered him by tossing him over the announce table. Shane got back in the ring only to get nailed with a headbutt and Popup Powerbomb as SD Live went off the air with Owens marveling at his handiwork while Shane looked on with a sense of resolve despite getting his ass handed to him.

·        This was a great way to end the show. The Owens-McMahon feud has been the blue brand’s saving grace over the past couple of months. Shane threw some decent punches for change which added to the segment more believable from a physicality standpoint.

·        Owens has been a tremendous sociopathic heel who has run out of fucks to give. He’s been pitch perfect during this storyline and I expect him to carry Shane to a great Hell in a Cell match on Sunday.

·        Sami Zayn remains the wild card because he’s trying to give advice to Shane, but keeps getting blown off. With the rules of the match being altered, it opens the door for outside interference down the stretch. Will Zayn join the dark side of the force and reunite with his former best friend/arch nemesis? Magic 8-Ball says: Better Not Tell You Now.

·        Overall, I thought tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live was saved by the main event segment featuring Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens. It is arguably the hottest feud in WWE outside of The New Day and The Usos fighting over the Tag Team Titles. Outside of that, this was a blah go-home show that didn’t set the world on fire in terms of in-ring action.

·        However, WWE deserves credit for allowing promos to dictate the pace instead of having wrestlers fall into the trap of 50/50 booking unless your name is Charlotte or Baron Corbin. Hopefully, both stars get back on track because this was the opposite way to build momentum heading into Hell in a Cell.

·        The PPV is shaping up to a strong show with the two HIAC matches likely bookending the show. The rest of the card looks solid, but match positioning will be key. Let’s hope the creative team can formulate the perfect game plan as WWE breaks in the new Little Caesar’s Arena. “Pizza, Pizza!” *Insert cheap plug here*

The Raw Exposé: Prologue To A Shield Reunion -The Hounds Of Justice Are Circling The Wagons - (Chapter Two)

Hello everyone and welcome to another installment of The Raw Exposé. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw emanated from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. I want to use this space to offer my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the senseless mass shooting in Las Vegas late Sunday Night. Violence solves nothing. It only drives a bigger wedge in our society.  Here’s hoping love, faith, and equality for all can erase the evil that pervades this world.

On a lighter note, let’s dive into the crazy world of WWE and dissect tonight’s show in no particular order.

·        Braun Strowman defeated Seth Rollins with a Running Powerslam in a good match to kick off the show. Rollins tried to use his speed and agility in order to keep Strowman off balance, but it wasn’t enough to slow down the Monster Among Men.

·        After the match was over, Strowman dropped Rollins with another Running Powerslam before leaving the ring. Some fans wanted him to do it one more time. He was about to honor their request when Dean Ambrose made the save.

·        Ambrose attacked Strowman, but it was to no avail as he ate two chokeslams for his troubles.

·        Strowman finally left the ring, but Ambrose and Rollins were in for more doom and gloom when Cesaro and Sheamus made their way to the ring.

·        Cesaro nailed Ambrose with the Neutralizer while Sheamus nailed Rollins with a Brogue Kick for good measure as the segment came to an end.

·        It was nice to see WWE shake up the opener by kicking off the show with a match instead of 20-minute promo for a change. The seeds are being planted for a blockbuster main event at TLC that should be awesome if everything goes according to plan. More on that later…

·        Bray Wyatt is losing his mind. Oh, joy. *Insert Sarcasm Here*

·        Elias defeated Titus O’Neil with the Drift Away in a match that didn’t overstay its welcome. It was serviceable and inoffensive for the most part.

·        Mickie James defeated Nia Jax via disqualification after Alexa Bliss broke up a pin attempt by James. James and Jax had a solid match which saw Jax on offense for the most part. James made a comeback and had Jax beat with a Tornado DDT until Bliss made the save on behalf of her frenemy.

·        Bliss tossed James out of the ring and was about to finish her off when James went on the attack by slamming Little Miss Bliss into the barricade before nailing her with a kick to the face for good measure.

·        James might be “old”, but she’s a wily veteran who lured Bliss in a trap by playing possum. This feud is a nice stopgap leading up to Asuka’s debut at TLC later this month. Here’s hoping both ladies deliver the goods in the ring in order push things over the top.

·        Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows defeated Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan when Anderson pinned Hardy with the Magic Killer in a solid match. Jordan played the babyface in peril for a large chunk of the bout until he made the hot tag to Hardy.

·        Hardy cleaned house as the fans chanted “Delete” after each offensive maneuver. However, it wasn’t enough as Anderson rammed Jordan into the barricade which led to the finish moments later.

·        This was a nice win for the Good Brothers while Jordan has to fight through another setback in order to gain a sense of purpose on the Raw roster without using his father’s influence in order to get ahead. Can he resist temptation? Only time will tell.

·        To keep things fair and square, Roman Reigns took out Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel to ensure that they wouldn’t interfere during his Intercontinental Championship match against The Miz.

·        Reigns played an unorthodox game of Whack-A-Mole as he hit both men in the back with a steel chair until WWE officials broke things up. Miz looked on in shock as his insurance policy went up in smoke.

·        The Miz retained the Intercontinental Title thanks to an assist from Cesaro and Sheamus. Prior to the DQ, Miz and Reigns had a nice back and forth match that featured hard-hitting action and dramatic near falls throughout.

·        Reigns was about to finish Miz off with a Spear until Sheamus and Cesaro pulled him out of the ring. From there, the Big Dog ate a Neutralizer from Cesaro, a Brogue Kick from Sheamus, and the Skull Crushing Finale from Miz.

·        However, the trio wasn’t done as they wanted to give fans a faux Shield moment when delivered a Triple Powerbomb to Reigns. To add insult to injury, they did the signature Shield fist bump as the crowd showered them with boos.

·        This was another strong segment that hinted at The Shield reuniting sooner rather than later. As I hinted at earlier tonight, the main event of TLC is coming into focus as The Shield is set to face the team of Cesaro, Sheamus, and The Miz (or Braun Strowman) in the eponymous match that the PPV is named after.

·        There have been too many breadcrumbs dropped to suggest otherwise at this point. Miz inadvertently pushed Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins back together. However, the end game wasn’t Rollins and Ambrose facing Miz and his Miztourage.

·        The same rule applies here as Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel were placeholders for Sheamus and Cesaro. Miz is a wild card because Braun Strowman has a long-standing issue with Reigns and has defeated Ambrose and Reigns over the past couple of weeks.

·        If there is a six-man tag team match featuring either man over the next couple of weeks, the main event of TLC becomes clearer. Based on Miz being the Intercontinental Champion, a Winner Takes All match featuring The Shield vs. Miz, Cesaro, and Sheamus is more plausible at this point.

·        Bray Wyatt thinks The Demon is Finn Bálor’s true face. Wyatt will show his true colors if Bálor does the same. Apparently, Sister Abigail is alive and would love to come out and play. I thought her ashes were baptized by fire thanks to Randy Orton. Oh well…

·        Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Alicia Fox and Emma when Bayley pinned Fox with the Bayley-to-Belly in a decent match. The heels dominated the action for the most part, but a miscommunication between Fox and Emma resulted in the latter walking out on her tag team partner which led to the aforementioned finish. The in-ring action was fine, but this match was slotted in the 10:30 P.M. Lull Period of Death which did the ladies no favors.

·        In another bold move, The Cruiserweight Division was in the main event spotlight once again as Enzo Amore cut another heelish promo that garnered a mixed reaction from the crowd.

·        WWE continues to straddle the fence by having Enzo spout his signature catchphrases which draw cheers from the crowd while the body of his mic work is booed for the most part. The company needs to take a page out of The Rock’s playbook when he went Hollywood 14 years ago. He didn’t allow the fans to sing along with him. Rock cut them off and did everything in his power to get booed. It worked as he had a great heel run leading up to his WrestleMania match against Stone Cold Steve Austin in 2003.

·       If WWE wants fans to hate Enzo, he shouldn't do babyface things in order to get a cheap pop. Being an asshole is his forte. Let him loose and watch the magic unfold.

·        During Enzo’s spiel, he mentioned that no one from the Cruiserweight Division could touch him because they would be fired on the spot. Neville led his army to the ring as they circled Enzo like a cornered rat.

·        Enzo zinged each of them which drew laughs from the crowd as he waved his paperwork in their faces. Kurt Angle came out reassured Enzo that his no-contact clause was valid.

·        However, that edict didn’t apply to the newest member of the Cruiserweight Division. Kalisto came out to a so-so reaction as he ran down to the ring and attacked Enzo. He laid the Champ out with the Salina Del Sol as Raw seemingly went off the air with Kalisto leading the crowd in a “Lucha, “Lucha!” chant.

·        Instead, the camera cut backstage to Roman Reigns sulking in the locker room. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins showed up to offer moral support. Their silence spoke volumes as Raw went off the air with Reigns contemplating his future.

·        WWE was smart to tease a Shield reunion to close the show. They didn’t give away the fist bump because that should happen in the ring. Smart strategy aside, the company ending the show with another Enzo promo was a little shocking because the third hour fell off a cliff from a ratings standpoint last week. He’s a great talker, but the main event spot should be reserved for the heavy hitters who actually move the needle in the right direction. Here’s hoping the E realizes that by ending the show with a Shield reunion next week. Fingers crossed!

·        As for Kalisto joining the Cruiserweight Division, it’s long overdue. He should’ve been there since day one, but I’m glad the Powers That Be have finally seen the light. Can Kalisto carry Enzo to a decent match? To Be Determined…

·        Overall, I thought tonight’s episode of Raw was middling at best. The in-ring action was blasé with the exception of the opening match featuring Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman and the Intercontinental Championship match between The Miz and Roman Reigns which kicked off the third hour.

·        The Shield reunion is keeping the show afloat along with Mickie James and Alexa Bliss feuding over the Raw Women’s Title. Outside of that, the red brand is snoozing their way through football season without the star power of Brock Lesnar and John Cena.

·        The TLC PPV is predicated on Asuka’s debut and the main event involving The Shield vs. Fill in the Team Here in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. The rest of the card looks paper thin. Can the creative team pull off a miracle over the next couple of weeks? We shall find out soon enough.

Rick and Morty Recap: “The Rickchurian Mortydate”

 

 

The end is here no more Rick and Morty probably for two or three years. And I am not over exaggerating these guys like to take the time and that they should. We want the show to get better and stay up to the same caliber has its predecessors.  So, we will wait and wait and wait till season four premieres in all its glory. So, enough chatter let’s get into the recap. There are SPOILERS ahead you have been warned.

“The Rickchurian Mortydate”

 

 

The episode begins at the White House where some alien pest kills an innocent janitor. So, who you goanna call Rick and Morty. Rick and Morty at that exact moment are playing Minecraft, and of course, Rick is criticizing the game probably because he didn’t create it.  As Morty continues to play they hear a helicopter outside and two secret service men walk up to the house. Rick and Morty obviously know it is the President and portal gun right over to the White House.

 

Once Rick and Morty arrive at the White House they meet the President and find out what the situation entails. Apparently, there are Kennedy sex tunnels and they are infested with an alien.  I’m just going to gloss over that, and they head down to the tunnels and shoot the little alien and discover that this is annoying and boring.  Rick and Morty then go on a rant about the President and how he uses them as his personal Ghostbusters, and they also talk about his insecurities. They bail on the adventure and go back to playing Minecraft, which infuriates the President because he is taking this bail on the adventure as a bail on America.

The President then uses a satellite illegally to spy on Rick and Morty in their home. The two then have a falling out as Rick and Morty then refuse to go on any more missions for him. And let’s just say he does not take that very well. The next scene shows a little alien civilization in Brazil that Rick can’t wait to get his hands on first. But before he can the President intervenes showing off is new toys one of them being a massive mobile portal. The President then puts his foot down stating that Rick and Morty cannot go near the little alien civilization. And that since they will no longer help so to speak, he will be holding them accountable. For every law, they have broken over the course of the adventures.

 

So, Rick quickly escapes from them and the President and then proceeds to investigate the civilization. The President is too slow because Rick and Morty have already been there and have brought peace to countries in dispute. Making the President look incompetent. The manhunt is on for Rick and Morty but is short-lived because they're sitting comfy in the oval office waiting for the President to give Morty a selfie.  I’m not sure how this becomes prevalent seeing as Morty does even want one. But Rick is very adamant about it and is prepared to kill and fight with the President for a selfie.

 

Meanwhile, Beth is having an identity crisis because she not sure if she is real or a clone. She asks Rick outright but would Rick tell the clone it was a clone? And if the clone finds out it is a clone would he then kill the clone? These are the question scrambling through her mind as she interacts with her kids and Jerry. Who someway somehow gets back in Beth’s good graces by reminding her of the kind of women she used to be. Because apparently, she has changed I’m not sure if that’s because she is a clone or if it because these past experiences have changed her. It’s confusing I know, and of course, the episode never gives us a definitive answer.

 

Back to Ricks crazy self who is going all out in this battle for a freaking selfie with the President. He doesn’t even realize that once he gets the President to submit that Morty is gone. He then calls up Morty who is now hiding out with the family at some cabin. Morty tells Rick that his mom and dad are back together and that they are protecting her against Rick.  Rick was devastated you could read it all over his face. Rick then proceeds to leave the President alone and go after the family. Of course, he knows where they are and walks up to the cabin with a gun. Which the family assumes is for Beth, but of course, it was for Jerry.  By the end of the episode, the family dynamic is like season one except Beth and Jerry are little more united. And she stands up for Jerry against Rick. Let’s just say I’m not sure our favorite scientist isn’t too happy about these recent events. Because now he is on the outside with the family while Jerry is back in.

The final episode has come and gone, and I must say this season went by fast. The season also left us with more questions than answers. Like what is Tammy doing with Phoenix Person? What does Evil Morty have planned? What happened to Beth’s mom? Is Beth a clone? And of course, all questions about Rick’s origins and past. All I can say is stay tuned Rick and Morty fans some will be revel in these upcoming seasons. But I’m sure the creators want as much mystery surrounding Ricks origins to remain mysterious.  So, enjoy the clip below has the writers mock us with how long it takes to get another season. Rick and Morty Recap: “The Ricklantis Mixup” & “Morty's Mind Blowers” & “The ABC’s of Beth”

 

 

Welcome back Fans of Rick and Morty to another recap. Unfortunately, we have reached the end of this crazy dark adventure this season.  With one last episode that promises to be great, it will be bittersweet moment seeing as the next season could take years. We waited so long for this season, and I can’t believe it’s over already. So, let’s step back and reminisce on the three episodes before this season finale. Without further a due let’s begin the recap and be warned there are SPOILERS for the rest of the recap.

“The Ricklantis Mixup”

 

This episode gives us a glimpse of what goes on in the citadel. The episode starts with our Rick and Morty going on an adventure that we probably won’t ever see, but the episode continues without them. We get to see the aftermath of Rick destroying the council of Ricks. The citadel is in an election with one of the candidates being a Morty. The episode had surprising reveals and fuel for some interesting fan theories. It also had references to some great movies that many of us probably recognized.

 

The audience is welcomed back to the citadel which seems more dismal than the last time it was seen. The episode unfolds in four different stories each one reveling and more entertaining than the next.  The first was a story of Rick working at a factory that developed snack bars called Simple Rick’s.  Of course, a Rick would be bored out of his mind working in assembly line which causes him to kill his boss and try to cut off the supply and demanding a portal gun of his own. He fails and ends up becoming the supply itself stuck in a loop by a machine which is used to harvest the ingredients for Simple Rick’s.

The second story follows a Rick and Morty who are cops straight out of the film Training Day. Morty being the dirty cop with a resentment toward his kind and Rick being the by the book good cop.  Bad cop Morty kills his kind without remorse and tries to get Rick on his side and join some drug cartel. He refuses and causes a shootout in a nightclub which ends with Rick killing his partner Morty.  The third story deals with a school that trains Morty’s to go out in the field with Ricks. In the school we see several Morty’s as students but also a Rick referred to as Slow Rick and Tall Morty. Which fueled one of the fan theories that Rick is Morty. It seems crazy but what revel that would be for the show. Nothing is confirmed, but it does raise questions. This story ends with one of The Morty killing themselves by throwing himself into a wishing portal which is just where garbage is disposed of, but they believe if you sacrifice yourself you're granted a wish. And he wished things would change for the Morty’s which leads us to our next and final story of the episode.

 

 

The election that is won by a Morty which has never happened.   Is, in fact, the most interesting part of this episode because it is revealed that the Morty that wins the election is none other than Evil Morty. Which was revealed when several of his oppressor’s bodies are floating in space alongside photos of him with the eyepatch and his theme music playing in the background. Let’s just say there will be consequences for our Rick and Morty and I can’t wait to see it unfold. The episode ends with Rick and Morty returning from the adventure unaware of Evil Morty’s come back and rise to power.

 

“Morty's Mind Blowers”

 

 

The next episode starts off in a labyrinth of sorts as Rick and Morty are being chased by a man dressed in black. Morty is holding a creature that is known as the truth tortoise and is told not to look into his eyes. And of course, he looks into his eyes and drops the tortoise. Once they return home, Morty can’t get the images out of his mind and wishes it to be removed. And Rick reveals that he has wiped Morty’s mind a lot of times.  The episode gets even better when Rick reveals that it is Interdimensional Cable which is coded for an improvised show. These episodes have proved to have some of the funniest moments in the series.

 

 

 

 And this episode did not disappoint. Rick brings Morty to a room filled with all his wiped memories and puts s helmet on Morty that allows him to relive the memory.  Some of those memories included his mother choosing his sister over him. She was asked if you could only save one of your children and she immediately yells out Summer. We see Rick murder a creature that Morty is fond of for warmth on an icy planet that ends up not being an icy planet. We also see Rick misquote the phrase taking for granted as taking for granite. Which makes Morty laugh and Rick wanting to erase the Memory again. Of course, the two ends up fighting which causes them to erase their memories completely. And having to regain those memories with the help of Summer who doesn’t even get as much a thank you.  The episode ends with the two going on another adventure and forgetting what just transpired.

“The ABC’s of Beth”

 

 

 

This final episode was exciting because Rick went on an adventure with his daughter Beth and of course things got dark right off the bat. Apparently, Beth had a childhood friend who has eaten by his dad. The dad was going to be executed later that day, and Beth starts to remember that she used to dream Tommy was alive in this imaginary world she made. Rick overhears and sends Morty and Summer to their dads and takes Beth to the garage. He exposes that the imaginary world wasn't fake and its where she spent most of her childhood. Rick draws a door with some chalk that opens the door to Beth’s imaginary world called, Froopyland.

 

 

Meanwhile, Summer and Morty meet their dad’s new girlfriend whose is an alien who loves to hunt. Of course, Jerry eventually wants out of the relationship and blames the breakup on the kids. Her reaction to the breakup is to come after the kids and kill them. Jerry finally steps up and breaks up with her the right way but losses, even more, respect from his children.

 

 

 

Back to Rick and Beth who have entered her world in search of childhood friend Tommy whom they believe is probably dead. Rick tries to prove that this world was completely safe and then get his arms chewed up by some mutated birds. They find out that Tommy reproduces with the creatures and eats the children.  Remember I said dark right and it also announced that Beth stranded Tommy here because she was jealous of his family. Of course, Beth doesn’t believe it, but Rick explains that she was a disturbed kid and that he sent her to Froopyland for everyone else’s protection from her.

 

Rick steps away from the adventure and Beth tries to connive Tommy to come back with her to save his dad from getting executed. Tommy refuses to leave and demands an apology which Beth doesn’t give and ends up killing his children and cutting off Tommy's finger. She returns to Rick and asks for his help to clone Tommy. They end up working together very well, and the audience gets to see how much Beth is like her father. The clone is made, and they return him to the mother who then goes to rescue the dad from the execution. Beth now feels lost, and Rick tells her that she can step away. He would clone her so she could find herself. The next scene we see the family at the dinner table and Beth is acting a little strange, but the audience still can’t tell if she left and if this is the clone. The question on everyone’s mind is, did Beth leave her kids behind?  

 

Tonight is the final episode of the season, and as you can see this season has been, it's darkest and craziest yet. So, I’m curious to see how the season will end. Not sure if all the questions from this season will be answered tonight, but it promises to bring the laughs as always.  So, watch tonight at 11:30 pm on Adult Swim the season finale of Rick and Morty “The Rickchurian Mortydate.” Watch below for a sneak peek of tonight’s episode.
